There was no choice in different shipping options for me when I ordered.

You can call your play store rep and pay for UPS 1 day world saver. I did it as my wife broker her phone... But once she saw my brothers (he has an Nex4) that day she found it too large, so its' unopened, sitting here to go back to google... Again, didn't mean to offend, selling it for what I paid (you can have the receipt), but I will be ups'ing it back to them tomorrow (the goog has a great return policy for unopened stuff, they even pay to ship back)

Finally, the wireless charger is in the Play store. Not on sale yet though.

At 59.99 I'm leery but I might pick it up. Would be great to have one in the living room just a plop down the phone on.

FYI for anyone on Fido, if a device isn't on their officially supported list then the visual voicemail app won't work at all, you have to depend on their mms voicemail.

Speaking of a carrier with the N4, Virgin will be carrying it as well. No indication on price but I doubt it'll be anything good.

One can only hope though.

Does anyone know if Fido has the Nexus 4 for sale yet? I heard they were getting it and selling it for 425$ with no contract. I have a couple hundred in Fido $$ to use up so I thought I might snag one.

When I talked with them a couple of days ago the guy said they didn't have it or support it yet, but I didn't ask about when they would. Hope soon so I can get the visual voicemail working.

I just want Google Voice to be available, without having to spoof my IP or whatever. Doesn't seem like it's rolled out in Canada...yet. Seems to be taking a long time.

You can blame the CRTC and primarily Rogers and Bell for that. I heard those two companies are actively lobbying the government because it affects their business model and services they offer.

I have to say I'm very impressed with the battery power, compared to my HTC Desire HD.

I don't have GPS on. Just the mobile/WiFi locator, blue-tooth and WiFi connection and by 6pm I still have 60% battery power.

I spend more of my day reading and replying on CP (via tapa talk), using twitter and being on Facebook. Also, a lot of emails (6 different email accounts going to the phone). So lots of usage. Usually always connected to a wifi.

By the time 11am rolled around, I'd be lucky to have 40% left on my HTC. Usually was around 20% after lunch, so I was looking for a place to plug in.

Strange that other people have complained about the battery power. I've been very happy with it.

Yeah I was a little worried about the battery life before I got mine, but after using it for a while I realized that I really don't use my screen all that much. If I can avoid using a phone for computer type tasks (browsing, e-mailing, etc.) I will, so I haven't had any trouble getting 2 full days out of a charge even with a few hours of listening to music on it a day.

And even when I have used it heavily I've been fairly impressed with the battery life. Not amazing, but not something I'd see as a detriment.

Well, my phone was fully charged last night around 10. I unplugged it when I noticed it hit "charged" just to see how much it would get. It's 6pm the next day and it's at 18% right now. Batteries tend to wear down overtime but this is pretty great IMO. This was a decently high use day. My two year old Nexus S was a two-a-day charge with limited use, so I am beyond pleased lol

The stand by time is really incredible. I think it dropped to about 98% when I woke up at 6am this morning. Part of this is because I turned off Google Now almost immediately. GoogleNow is pretty neat but a batter killer and it's not something I use.

The phone is just amazing though, loving it. Super fast and super responsive. The more I toy with it the more I love it.

It is a slippery little bugger though and I will be putting that case and leaving it on when I get it. Sure it's fun spinning it on my desk but I almost twice had it slip off the arm rest of my couch when watching the Flame game last night, something that never happened with any phone before, or even my iPad or Nexus 7.

Great job by LG and google here. They worked together to make a great phone.

Where do I find Google Now on my phone? I don't remember turning it on or off.

Hold the home button and swipe up. I use it all the time and it doesn't drain batteries all that much.

The absolute worst is if you have an exchange account or old apps that don't use push notifications and poll a server somewhere for updates. Installed 4.2.2 so far and no issues so far.

Thanks for this.

Looks like I've had it off this entire time. I guess I turned it off during my initial boot-up of the phone. No biggie. I can't see myself using it all that much.
