For those of you going to the Stamps game be sure to pick up those seats to get you off the bleachers. It's going to be a cold day!!
I'm going to watch the game until the Flames score first. Once that happens I know they'll lose and I can watch the football game.

I don't understand why someone can like a form of football as their 2nd favourite sport then rank another form of football behind things a that aren't even sports. its still football. I would watch an NFL game over basketball or baseball. I find it harder to get into NFL when its all american teams, add to that I find CFL games can get long when they are all 3 hours, in comparison to NFL games which are closer to 4 hours. plus a bunch of other stuff, but I can respect that it is a football, just a different form.
edit: to add, I would rather watch NCAA over NFL anyday, just more exciting football. of course I get more interested in CIS playoffs then any NCAA game

I agree.. Except I make this change.
MMA > Hockey > ANYTHING > CFL > Basketball > Baseball.
Of course a great playoff game in any sport can be entertaining and I have gotten sucked into the occasional baseball or basketball playoff game...

You can probably watch all 3 but one game might spoil the other with highlights. Watch the Flames or NFL and PVR the other. I haven't checked the guide but I'm pretty sure that TSN2 will show both CFL games time shifted by at least a few hours later.

I'll just flip channels, back and forth between games.

Jesus, I was already annoyed about the fact the Stamps and Saints play at the same time, didn't even realize Flames/Wings were on too. Better warm up my trigger finger..

Why is it so important to you to show how little you think of the CFL? You remind me of the husband of my wife's friend: we were visiting them in Memphis in the spring of 1998, and he was incredulous that I was taking the time to try and find out the score of an Oiler/Avalanche playoff game. He couldn't figure out why anyone would give a hoot about an ice hockey game.
It seems like you're going out of your way to pee on the good folks who care about the Canadian game.

So he's peeing on 8 people from Saskatchewan? Kidding!!
Don't be so sensitive. The thread is talking about which sport to watch this weekend.
I guess he could have just said I'll be watching hockey and the nfl.... If everyone responded with that it'd pretty boring here don't ya think..

Besides, anyone that says they love the NFL and hate the CFL doesn't know@$&! about football, and is just fault up in to old I want to be an American bs, even without saying it.

I only care about the Stamps game and the Flames game. I'll be watching both. With the PVR, I don't expect to miss any of either.
Since the Stamps game starts first, I'll start watching that live. At some point after the Flames game starts, maybe about 3:15 or 3:30, I'll start watching the Flames game from the beginning. From this point on, I'll fast forward through commercials. If I catch up in one game, I'll switch to the other. At good break points (e.g. intermission/half time) I'll swap to the other so that I do not get too far behind in either game in case there are game updates.
I've done this before. IIRC, it was a Flames game at the same time as a key World Junior game. I'll catch both games in their entirety, and I will be done about 30-60 minutes after the last game ends.

For me it's NHL > CFL > NCAA FB > NBA > MLB > NFL. I've made the effort several times to get into NFL football, but it's never held my interest. I can totally appreciate that the level of football is the best in the world and the spectacle is pretty grand, but as a spectator it just doesn't work for me.
Playoffs typically move everything up a notch, so a Stamps playoff game trumps a Flames regular season game. I'll be at McMahon way up in the top row, freezing my ass off. However, I will be trying to watch the rest of the Raptors game before I leave.

I have two TVs side by side, so will have the Flames/stamps on those. One TV is bigger so I will probably have the stamps on that one simply because it starts earlier. I will switch during intermissions/halftime.
I don't know what I'm going to do about watching the Seahawks dominate those hacks from New Orleans. NO PVR, probably just catch pieces during the breaks and then watch highlights.
For me the NFL is a better game than the CFL, but since I'm more local to the CFL right now coupled with the playoffs, it is definitely a more exciting game.
It's very tough to follow an out of town team religiously. You don't get to hear/talk/watch your favourite team as much. I don't know how so many people can simply choose a favourite team that they have no city or any personal connection to and follow so closely throughout all the years.
