No, but after a summer when they aren't in effect, and people can become complacent, it certainly doesn't hurt to have the cops crackdown as a reminder, that they're back in effect.

Got 3 photo radar tickets in the span of a month and a half. $460 total...

I'm not speeding much these days.

Stupid photo radar.

New rules coming into effect October 1 will allow you to plead not-guilty and set a trial date for Part 2 violations (and other municipal offences, like c-train tickets) by registered mail.

I called Points and they asked: were you speeding? I said yes. They said, for one ticket, especially it being my first, that it's not even worth fighting.

And it's true, if you have a few years driving under your belt, you should get one grace ticket I think...

That being said, f tha police and you have your right to fight the system!

(dude, did you pay it or what is your plan?)

Paid the radar ticket, fighting the regular speeding ticket sometime before Oct. 3.

The whole process is becoming incredibly back logged...people are now getting court dates for traffic tickets almost a year after the offence date. I've heard of people getting court dates in late August 2011 already for incidents that happened in July 2010.
