BiH is playing strong football. They were pretty close to making it into the WC and that momentum has followed through. It would not at all surprise me at all if they got three points against France.

first result of the day.
Russia 0 - 1 Slovakia.
That's quite an upset!

It's kind of surprising but not really a huge upset, Slovakia have been on the way up for a few years now and have some really good young players like Hamsik, Stoch, Jendrisek and Weiss.. Russian supporters can't be too pleased though

I think the fact that it's on the road. You know how hard it is to win international away from home.
Matches like
Norway-Portugal
Bosnia-France
Suisse-England
will be very interesting today.

ya Slovakia is an up and comer but thats a game Russia has to win. Their group isn't the easiest and while they are probly the best team of the 3 who likely have a chance to qualify (themselves, Slovakia, Ireland) they still need to win the games
they can't miss out on 2012 after missing the WC

also Capello is just messing with England at this point (team, media, and fans), he has played Cahill with Jagielka all throughout training ever since the last game
and then the squad is announced and Lescott goes in not Cahill

Luka Modric is back in for Croatia after not playing soccer for a month. Croatia and Greece are just getting underway.

haha
I wanted Johnson to start but not that way, and instead of Milner not Theo
Arsenal's yearly injuries taking no time to come up this year it seems, Van Persie out for 6 weeks, Walcotts injury looks bad, these things come in 3's
Cesc better be careful

Croatia is playing too much long ball, while the Greeks clog the middle.

Not really a surprise as Italy is already up 3-0 against the Faroe Islands, but in CP news everybody's favorite goalkeeper Gunnar Nielson of the Tranmere Rovers has actually made a few nice saves to keep the score 3-0.
