Weren't they both drunk? I just call it "stupid drunk skanks" as opposed to "rape". Not sure what me having a daughter has to do with it. Just as me having a son would have nothing to do with it, if it was drunken boy hijinx... Maybe Starseed would have something witty to contribute in that case.

I've only read that one of them was drunk. Even if they both were, it doesn't make it acceptable that the officers didn't step in.
The daughter question was to personalize it for you. Could have used son, sister, brother, mother, whatever. The point is, would you see another person taking advantage of them while they are drunk as a "show"?

Well, the question is - did they have to step in? I'm not sure if sexual contact is illegal in jail. If it is - yes. If they knew one of them was HIVed - yes. Watching the monitor is not illegal per se - there is no expectation of privacy in lock-up. The guard is supposed to sit there and watch the cell for 24 hours. Calling over 6 buddies to watch is inappropriate. Still, I file it under "if you are a drunken idiot who does something idiotic, I have no sympathy for you".

I think it's ridiculous that a drunk person who drives is a moron, but a drunk person who has sex is a victim. If alcohol doesn't absolve you of your actions when you kill someone in a car, why can't you be responsible for the rest of your actions?
