Caught a bit of the discussion on Adler and a guy made a pretty good point: what would happen if it was a passenger that threw a hissy fit and pulled this stunt? I bet it'd get awful close to jail time. Suspended sentence at least.

It is kinda funny, I guess, but the authorities don't laugh at jokes and stunts that have anything to do with air travel. This guy is going to get is 15 minutes, but he's going to pay for it.

ps, Jenny is a cutie.

She could still get her pants sued off Unless of course this is just a viral marketing campaign by the makers of whiteboards.

I'm no legal beagle, so I ask this honestly: what part of what she did could get her sued?

I heard on the radio today that the Jenny story was a hoax.

We know that the Steve Slater story is true. But what about Jenny’s story?

Almost certainly made up.
...
the Resigs ran a site called Derober, which features doctored photos of celebrities in their underwear.

And Derober’s moment in the spotlight came back in December 2007, when it made up a story about Donald Trump leaving a $10,000 tip on a $82.27 bill. The story was convincing enough to fool Fox News and the New York Post (both of which are owned by News Corp., which also owns this site).

So Jenny is a fake, too. Right, Leo Resig?
...
So good for the brothers, I guess, for proving yet again that people will believe anything they see on the Internet.
Bummer.
I wanted to hire Jenny.

Not exactly a funny joke to the people that had to wait on the tarmac while they unloaded the plane with a stair car. And I can't imagine that repacking one of those slides is something that just gets done on site in a few minutes, or very cheap, for that matter. And again, nobody finds air travel shenanigans funny these days. Air travel is enough of a PITA without pissed off stewardessmen tacking an extra half hour or hour to the end of a flight over a hissy fit.

You're right, probably not jail worthy, but I bet this guy ends up with a record, and will forever lament this decision whenever trying to fly in the future.

I'm sure the Department of Homeland Security will put him on the no-fly list ....
..but I think he gets off on a fine and maybe some community service.

I see this as an opportunity to "let everyone else know" this will not happen without real consequences.

Mikey, what's a cummunity?

To put it a better way, I hope she gets her daisy dukes sued off

Im sure that a financial company that relies on reputation as a key to their business would not like one of their managers publicly humiliated on the internet. It just reeks of a libel lawsuit if the stunt was real.
