The Russian middle name is just a patronymic, so if I were to go old school the middle name would have to be Vladimirovich. Some good ideas. Remember, I have to sell this to a veto-wielding member of the security council.

Vasily, Mikhail, Nikita, Pavel are all decent Russian names if you're going the Russian route.
I think you should go with something confusing to others like a Japanese name or African just to make people go WTF when they see your son's name
