I'd be more concerned with the invisible gangs, myself.

I think this guy is one of them. Hopefully he'll play some concerts in Calgary now!

The solution to this problem is to get Vick Mackey in here. He knows how to deal with gangs...and how to rob money trains.

Presumably the 'calgary crips' would just be shortened to 'the craps'.

FYI those links to the Herald articles are 2 and 4 years old. Obviously they didn't stick around too long.

I'm assume the guys that were seen in the OP were just a couple guys trying to fit it.....with their buddies who also lack color-vision.

Those guys are mostly posers. Kind of a start up crew. Wouldn't be surprised if they try to make a space for themselves in the drug trade by joining a larger more established criminal organization.

MS13 was trying to break into the Calgary drug market, but 95% of them were caught at the border and sent back. A few got in and made refugee claims. They failed or were found ineligible and sent packing. If they would have got in, then Calgary would have seen a real gang war. It would have been terrible.

There's virtually no reason for gangs to exist in Canada.. if they do exist they're just posing.

These Canadian gang members would **** their pants entering South Phoenix at night, or South Central L.A.

Even the Vietnamese gangs in Canada are a joke.. all those kids come from wealthy families and are usually pretty educated with no reason to have street smarts.

Gang members down here grow up on the street, deal drugs as children and know nothing else.

Except when they are killing people and causing other problems.

Gangs have been a problem for a long time in Canada. For example it's been on of the Hell's Angels most solid foundations for a while.

To say they are just posing completely ignores the fact that gangs have caused innocent people to be injured and killed just like everywhere else.

Ignorant comment.

I get unsolicited movie invitations on the phone all the time - this didn't seem out of place. I did thank him for the compliment however.
