Dion was like 95 years old. He's probably in florida enjoying retirement...either that or he gave up the ghost.

Of course, I don't wish ill on him or anything, so he's probably chillin' somewhere. Probably lawn bowling, or bingo nights.

I'd say Arizona instead of Florida since I think his mom had a place there he could go stay at.

I must have missed all the "lies" he posted.

He was someone willing to go watch training sessions and report on them. I trusted him more than I do the guys who make their money covering the flames.

If we had any quality sports journalism in this city we would know the real reason Dion was traded. Unfortunately sports journalism isnt like regular journalism - too many homers and people who get paid indirectly by the people they report about.

I miss thefanblogger and rmillions - it gave this site a unique quality that no other site matches.

Nonsense.

Various posters here (sureLoss, CsInMyBlood, Nehkara to name a few) have provided timely, informative and insightful training camp updates in the past without the reader requiring a decoder ring.

On many occasions, folks attending the same sessions provided corrections to the mish-mash of malapropisms, misidentifications and outright factual errors of tehbanflogger's mangled missives.

As for daily regular season practice reports, the blogs of the various newspaper beat writers or Fan960 actually blow tehbanflogger out of the water. No contest.

For what it is worth, thefanblogger got too big for his britches. He was a half step above the Orange Julius guy. Maybe if I had nothing better to do than watch practice from the 2nd bowl every day, I'd get delusions of grandeur too. He thought he was a real media member, when really, his name said it all. He was just a fan.

When the guy can't be bothered to use basic grammar, I'm glad so many people gave him the gears. I don't think it's too much to ask that people post at a grade two level. What kind of adult is that lazy? I post from my blackberry sometimes and there's the period button --->. right there.... Oh look! The comma,,,,!

Anyway, I could give a crap that a drama queen took his ball and went home because a few people told him to cut down on the rumours, and to start using two extra buttons on his keyboard. Don't let the door yada yada yada.

Personally I'd wouldn't mind seeing Netminder seemlessly transition into his flames practice info/blogging role.we probably wouldnt even notice .

Last I heard he was mistakenly charged with identity theft for misspelling his own name on his passport renewal form.

I know the senior guys on this board will disagree with me, but I miss Lanny. There was a time when I actually looked forward coming to this board just to only see what new stuff he posted, didn't matter what it was. And on a great hockey message board like this, that wasn't supposed to be the case.

I'll tell you what was funny... I vaguely remember Lanny being named 'that other board's' Poster of the Year for 2003. And what did Lanny do? He cussed it out and everybody associated with it. God, that's gold. I couldn't stop laughing for three days straight.

Yep, Lanny was great. A really angry sumbitch, but a sumbitch who knew what he was talking about and could engage in some intelligent conversation.

Darryl Sutter stretches the truth all the time.

Either way, it doesn't matter. Take his posts with a grain of salt. I usually ignored the opinionated stuff anyways.

Which was easy to do at the start. However near the end of his tenure, he was buying into his own 'hype'.

Lanny was a great poster when he could refrain from the personal attacks.

I think someone should find out what happened to Dion(poster).

He was getting up there in age, and its not like him to suddenly drop off the face of the earth.
