There are no more students here now that school is out.
The summers here are relativley quiet, with a few events sprinkled here and there.
For example, Street Machine weekend used to be fun, but now the cops here have turned it into a revenue opportunity by fining everyone for burning rubber and so on......total police state here.
Basically, no fun is allowed.
And remember to smile.........because big brother is now watching you from our new Intersection Safety Devices to make more revenue.

I think they only have one real camera that they'll rotate between intersections and the rest are fake. Well I know for sure there's only one real camera, they may or may not put up fake ones elsewhere.
For food consider the new Moxie's that just happened, haven't been but heard it's good... also the new Firestone restuarant on the corner of 5 Ave and Mayor is supposed to be good as well. Why all the Lethy hate in this thread?!

I've got a few of the kids in on a bet, I'm betting for Philly and they're betting for Chicago, and I can tell you right now that if the Flyers get swept and I lose, those little basterds are getting punished unreasonably on Saturday.
So far some good recommendations. When I get some time I'll see whats close to me Hotel and decent, so far this "Shark Room" sounds promising. Moxie's is a little too high brow for my needs at the moment.
So there it is boys, I need a place to watch hockey on Friday night. CPers welcome to join. If you want.

Which hotel? I assume something within stumbling distance would be preferred?

I think I'm at the Sandman on Mayor McGrath. Stumbling distance preferred, but I gotta coach all day saturday and Sunday so I'm probably not getting blasted.

Scores south is probably the closest to your hotel. The Shark club is only about 2 minutes further down Mayor Magrath Drive.

The Closest to you is backstreet south not a bad place but nothing spectacular, just head down 3rd ave and its pretty close. Scores would be your first encounter if you walked south down Mayor Magrath. Usually its a pretty good place to go but because i'm lazy I would take a cab, it's probably in the middle between Shark Club and the Sandman. The nice thing about Shark Club though is if you tire of it you can go across the street to the Blarney Stone.
Hope this helps, don't expect anything fantastic as others have pointed out the Bridge settles down a fair bit after school is done

I found it reasonable to post since I found out I'll be spending all of Friday night in Lethbridge for work...
Game 4 at Sharks/Treats ftw!

I don't understand why Treats gets so much love here.
The place has downright awful food, and average at best service.
Shark Club has killer snacks though....
Locke you should go down to Firestone. I haven't been there but it is supposedly the hip new place.
It is a block away from Sandman, and when you stumble back you can have a late night dinner in the adjacent Denny's.....yup there is a Denny's in the Sandman. Enjoy.

Ummm.....
You don't jump off, someone holds a gun to your head and tells you to jump off.

To be fair, I think I'm the only one giving it any mentions.
And to answer, I am down there overnight usually once a week overnight for work. And we stay at the Econolodge, so Treats is next door.
We've always gone there to watch Hockey and get in a couple pitchers and I've never had a problem with the food either...

Eat at the Sandman Denny's at your own risk. Then again, I suppose that applies to pretty much any Denny's.
Firestone is expensive for what it is, but the food is pretty good. If you're a hamburger guy, try "The Burger". It's excellent.
