He was distracted when they covered it that day. Texting his buddies about the weekend. Another reason why they should ban cell phones in class rooms.

He must have gone to the same terrorist school that instructed that guy to drive the SUV into the airport in Scotland.

Seriously, this guy apparently had bachelor's degrees in business, computers, and engineering and an MBA. He must have unlearned a significant amount of knowlege at these camps in order to put together such a ridiculous bomb.
