^Seriously! Saxamaphone is legendary.

Back to Ricky-isms, "Supply and command" and "denial and error" are my two favourites.

Actually that list is neither comprehensive nor are all of those words coined by Homer Simpson.

Embiggens was not coined by Homer, nor was eat my shorts, kwijibo and I believe it was Groundskeeper Willie that coined cheese eating surrender monkeys.

As has been pointed out there are numerous other sayings that are equally if not more popular than the ones mentioned.

One of my favs is the guy that had a stroke and the way he says yyyeeeessssssssss.

Also, "thank you come again" in the Apu accent is pretty popular. There are actually so many things from the Simpsons that dominate my vocab I could likely talk in Simpsons quotes all the time.

Excellent - Mr Burns. Also, Homer's attempt at replicating it "exactly".

Hey, hey - Krusty

Worst _______ Ever - comic book guy

Just a few that came to me that IMO are way more popular than the words listed in the OP.

The original article by the company that conducted the study doesn't attribute any of the phrases in the list directly to Homer, but to The Simpsons in general: http://www.todaytranslations.com/pre...e-contribution

They did, however, err in the definition of kwyjibo by saying that Homer played it during a Scrabble game.

I'm going to attempt to de-rail this thread into a Simpsons quote off, which I will win...

"You have 72 hours to deliver the money, and to prove I'm not bluffing, watch this!"

* explosion and then bridge collapsing"

"Oh my god the 59th street bridge!"
"Maybe it just collapsed on it's own?"
"We can't take that chance"
"YOU ALWAYS SAY THAT! I WANT TO TAKE A CHANCE!"

Sir, I need to know where I can get some business hammocks.

Hammocks? My goodness, what an idea. Why didn't I think of that? Hammocks! Homer, there's four places. There's the Hammock Hut, that's on third.

Uh-huh.

There's Hammocks-R-Us, that's on third too. You got Put-Your-Butt-There.

Mm-Hmm.

That's on third. Swing Low, Sweet Chariot... Matter of fact, they're all in the same complex; it's the hammock complex on third.

Oh, the hammock district!

I can't believe nobody's mention "Boo-urns" yet

I say that all the time!

Audience: Boo! Boo!
Burns: Smithers...are they booing me?
Smithers: Uh, no, they're saying "Boo-urns! Boo-urns!"
Burns: Are you saying "boo" or "Boo-urns"?
Audience: Boo! Boo!
Hans: I was saying "Boo-urns"...

Shopkeeper: I must warn you the doll is cursed.
Homer Simpson: That's bad.
Homer Simpson: But it comes with a free frogurt!
Homer Simpson: That's good.
Shopkeeper: The frogurt is also cursed.
Homer Simpson: That's bad!
Shopkeeper: But it comes with a free choice of toppings!
Homer Simpson:
That's good!
Shopkeeper: The toppings contain sodium benzoate.
Shopkeeper: That's bad.
Homer Simpson:
Can I go now?

Back to the hammocks, my friend. You know, there's a little place called Mary Ann's Hammocks. The nice thing about that place is Mary Ann gets in the hammock with you.

Marge: Homer, do you ever drink alone?
Homer: Does the Lord count as a person?
Marge: No.
Homer: Then yes.
