4th year finance student at the U of C - all done on April 20th!
Just started my new job on Friday as a Junior Investment Banking Associate at a small firm here in town. I will work part-time there until I graduate, and then full-time afterwards.

I hold a license in X-ray Technology. Just because I might need it someday, I keep it current. I let my Medical Technology license expire last year because I would rather stand in the soup line than work in a Medical Laboratory ever again.
I still work in the medical field in Administration. Apparently once you get a desk job you don't miss working on the floor with grumpy sick people.
Oh ya, and you get paid more too.

Does the U of A offer Biomed??
If it doesnt and you have to come to Calgary you will be stuck with Dr. Minchev......

Second year student, MRC. Debt free as well! Getting my Bachelor of Arts in History, will then go into Education and become a high school teacher. Once that is accomplished I may decide to do somehting on the side. With all my summers, weekends, easter and christmas off, I have ample time to do somehting on the side as well. Either that or just sun tan and chill in the summer!

Actually I'm a power engineer...not an electrical engineer...big difference. Its more of a trade than anything, the older gents call it a steam engineer. I work in a power plant just outside calgary

Add me to the list. I'm done three years as an EE in the consulting industry. Get my stamp at the end of the year.
Kermit, if you can't get an EE job in Alberta you'll never be able to. Pound that pavement!
Three years I couldn't find work in Edmonton, so I made the trip down south and dropped off seventy resumes. I got 2 phone calls, one interview, and a job.
Try Stantec if you're interested in the consulting area of engineering. It might not be the best place long term, but it's a great place to start and the boss on the utility side is a great guy. They're always looking for good people.
