3J3, I loved MW2, why all the hate? I have not played through the single player game in either (maybe a few levels) and spent all my time in multi. Upgrading weapons and abilities was like a crack addiction; that game seems to have changed the game landscape.
And I am sincere about Halo and am a little sad I won't be playing on day one. Just a few years ago I would buy all the big new games and on many occasions I would even avoid playing them for a few months. Now I can control myself and not buy every game that is interesting. I just found Wars and ODST somewhat meh, this game will have to get good reviews from the MW crowd before I play it.

Well, when MW2 first came out I loved it, but as I went along and kept playing the BS just got fleshed out more and more. I stopped playing months ago and decided to get back a few weeks ago and in my first 3 matches, 2 nukes went off. Just silly with the perks.
The first MW was so great because it was a FPS and the kill streaks were cool 3,5,7, but with tall the kill streaks they added it just ruined the gameplay (for me anyway), and I hated it.
I loved the Halo: Reach demo. Only 14 hours until I am done my classes and can go pick up my game. Sadly I'll have to work 2 hours later.
MW2 just became "Heli + Jets + rockets + nukes + nade spam + camping" and it just became boring. Which sucks because Modern Warfare 1 is one of my all-time fav. multiplayer games, along with Halo 2.

They've done a great job working the multiplayer maps from the beta into the campaign

Help me out here....my spoiled brat of a 16 year old cousin is a huge Halo nut. I'm not a gamer whatsoever. If you pre order a game, what's the appeal of going to the midnight opening?? Are you not guaranteed your copy?? He pre ordered the Legendary Edition awhile ago and last night, he waited in line for 5 hours to pick it up. The kid had school this morning and always gets what he wants because my aunt is a sucker. It drived me nuts.
So back to the question, what's the appeal of going to a midnight release if you already have it pre ordered?? Outside of getting the game at midnight of course.

Nothing, the point of a Midnight release is to get it it at Midnight. Pre-ordering just makes things go faster.
Just booted the game up, such an improvement on graphics from Halo 3.
Also, the Legendary Edition is sick. I don't care if I am a dork, the statue is so awesome.

How is the multiplayer gameplay? Did they improve on the beta gameplay?
I thought the beta was awesome, and with a few tweaks to a few game mechanics, the overall experience could be unreal.
Midnight launches are for suckers Van, if your nephew is addicted to the game enough that he needs to get it at midnight, at least you won't have to worry about him getting any girls pregnant any time soon....

Sounds great. I want to know what changes/tweaks they made to nades and shooting in general. I was a big fan of the needle rifle in the Beta, I hope they didn't screw it up too badly.
If you want to add me to play some games my tag is i GRidah i or Tellittomy50

Ahahaha, just got the greatest double kill. Saw two Spartans running with my Core to the end and I got in their Pelican went up super high then jumped out and it landed on both of them and squished them for the double kill. I am still laughing my ass off.
Edit: Just playing my first game in the new Blood Gultch/Coagulation (I forget the Reach name) but god damn this is a good map. It is way bigger than the both of them but holy hell it is awesome.

Dammit, I'm getting excited. I pre-ordered it, but it never made it in today's mail! Hopefully tomorrow!

K, I'm still a tad confused and before I give that brat some crap, I need to know what I'm talking about. Since he had it pre-ordered, he could have picked up the game today after school, correct?? He didn't have to go at midnight right?? He wouldn't have lost his reservation or anything??

Correct...preordering means he has a guaranteed copy, he didn't have to go at midnight to get it, he just wanted it early

Thanks. Sorry, I'm not familiar at all with the pre order or midnight release thing.
That kid is gonna catch a world of crap when I see him next.

They altered the headshot area. I keep aiming like Halo 3 and get nothing. It's going to take some getting used to. Got my butt kicked in swat.

I meandered into EB games after work today and they only had 500 copies or so left.....pre ordering is a joke if you ask me.

Once I finish Red Dead, Drake Fortune 2, Assassins Creed 2 and the first two God of War games I will probably pick up Halo. I am nearly finished all the games, except for Red Dead, I am about twenty percent through. Hopefully the price is much less!

Yeah, I went to Future Shop today and noticed a bunch of copies, but didn't notice the uber nerdy Legendary Edition. Not sure if they are sold out of those or what.

Well, for the nerds like me, a pre-order for the Legendary edition was necessarily as almost everywhere was sold-out. I got lucky because I went to the one in Deerfoot Mall which no one goes to. Even then, when I picked it up today, everyone in the line was picking up their Legendary editions, so they were much more limited than the H3 one's were.
Now I am off to play multiplayer for 5 hours.
