Richards rocks Semin in the first period, Semin packs it in for the night. Canada wins in a shoot out (high scoring game, not technical) cause our defence is awful but theirs is worse. Good luck Grebeshkov + friends

Interesting stat, the last time Canada beat Russia on the Olympic ice was 50 years ago.
I think offensively and in goal both teams are about equal, but Russians are suspect defensively. If I was a betting man, I'd bet on Canada.

That was also true for the US beating Canada.

The next six and a half hours are going to seem like a week.
I cannot explain how pumped I am for this hockey game.
Come on boys, let's pound the Russians into submission and make Ovechkin question if he really wants to be humiliated the same way in Sochi.

Does it make me evil that I want to see Ovechkin in an arm-sling and crying again after yet another Canadian beat down?

I think this is going to be a heated battle between Sid and Ovi. I'm hoping for Canada to pull out of a win! Should be a close game.
