Needs moar Tyler Myers.
It was my joke before, but I'm serious now. It's not like he'd be WORSE than some of the schlubs they picked.

They better not lose tomorrow. I'm flying to Vancouver on wednesday to celebrate a victory over those god damn Russians.
I like the look of the new lines a lot. I really hope Babcock and the coaching staff decide to go to the regular 12 F 6 D rotation, develop a lot more flow in the game for the players.

I call Pronger "the Pylon". I saw their thinking in choosing him for the smaller ice, but you have to look at the competition and see the speed out there. Honestly I would have preferred Greene and Bouwmeester to Boyle and Pronger. Doughty and Keith look like they belong out there, but after that our defense is not living up to the hype!

Staal-Crosby-Iginla
Nash-Getzlaf-Perry
Marleau-Thornton-Heatley
M. Richards-Toews-Morrow
Those lines actually do look better...
Keith-Doughty
Weber-Niedermayer
Lets just play those 2 pairings, the rest can work the gate and freshen drinks for the crowd.

Drop Nash-Getzlaf-Perry to fourth line minutes, and we'd be set.

All this does is cut the ice-time of the one forward who is consistently winning battles out there in Toews. My lines would be:
Toews-Crosby-Iginla
Heatley-Getzlaf-Nash
Staal-Thornton-Perry
Morrow-Richards-Marleau
Bergeron
NHL teams chemistry be damned, it's time for some Team Canada Chemistry. You could switch those bottom 2 RW's to either line.

This is a great move, i think it was nash that was the problem on Crosby's line. Staal has played pretty good in my opinion. Can't wait to see him along side sid and iggy.
Our d needs to have Doughty, Weber and Keith get majority of the minutes. Boyle, Niedermeyer and Pronger need limited, very limited minutes. None of them belong.
I sure hope our pp gets going. Not taking mike green looks like a huge mistake so far. And i don't care what anyone thinks, he would not have been worse defensively than chris pronger or scott neidermeyer.

Or Alternatively,
Staal-Crosby-Iginla
Toews-Getzlaf-Nash
San Jose
Morrow-Richards-Perry
Either way I agree, Toews deserves to be on one of thsoe top two lines. Unless Perry starts crashing the net, benchhhh

Bergeron going to be the 13th forward according to Bob Mckenzie's twitter. Does this mean he finds the press box?
Quote:
As expected, Luongo starts. Staal and Iggy flank Crosby. Nash and Perry flank Getzlaf. Morrow and Richards with Toews. Sharks. Bergeron 13th

Funny, just two days ago he was claiming Nash-Crosby has more chemistry than Iggy-Crosby.
Quote:
Key for me is Rick Nash needs to play right side, which pushes Iginla off that line. Chemistry with Crosby-Nash is greater than Sid-Iggy.

I wans't sure where to put this, but did anyone just see the Olympic profile of Jarome Iginla just aired on CTV? I was unaware that he was the first ever black athlete to win an Olympic gold medal in the winter games. Is this true? If so, that is very cool.

I read somewhere that management was considering going to a traditional 12 and 6 set to hopefully maintain chemistry. Although I haven't been able to find anything since.

They may only *play* 12 forwards and 6 defensemen but it would be foolish not to dress the two "extras" when you're allowed to. If somebody gets hurt you don't want to have to shorten the bench because of it.

2nd line I'd try and sneak Heatley in for Toews once in a while too. I'm not sold on the San Jose line. they're good but, Big joe is bringing them down a bit. but hey I'm not the coach. Go Canada

Voted for Kodos

Bergeron can dress as the 13th forward, and take faceoffs when Crosby or Toews isn't on the ice, then immediately skate to the bench to be replaced.

I didn't know that. If true, that's pretty crazy... and awesome.

Lets not play Neids and replace him with someone else.

Has S. Neids replaced his brother as most deserving of the Special Neids title?
