So if you're one day ahead in Australia you can give me the Sports Select results.

Wait, silly me. I know what you're thinking. Yes I'll share the pot with you.

I can tell you that Canada won yesterday. Crosby with 2 goals, Brodeur played really well. For the OP, that would be Party Marty, not King Richard.

It reminds me of watching women's curling with the girlfriend.

"Cheryl Bernard is a MILF! I mean, she's a really good curler.. I wouldn't say she is a MILF"

Seems like he said something and then realized he probably shouldn't have. I've been in that boat before, that's for sure. That said, I still think Kesler is a big ######.

"Ditch disrespectful Kesler"

http://www.theprovince.com/opinion/D...987/story.html

From the Province:

"His comments about the Canadian hockey team are disrespectful to them, as well as all British Columbians and Canadians...

...Mike Gillis, time for a trade."

Kesler is a joke. I hope Weber runs him over on the ice

Are they just xenophobes that hate people from other countries?!?
But Brodeur just became a naturalized U.S. citizen recently.

Yzerman did it quite a while ago. Many Canadians who stay in the US do. The reasoning I've always heard is they they live there and pay their taxes, they want to be able to vote as well.

I think there is a double standard here. Some say as Canadians we're insecure or whatever because we take offence to a comment like that, although if you read further he probably spoke without thinking and lives in Vancouver. However, how big a story and how far would the mediocre US news outlets like CNN or FOX run with the story if a Canadian said it?

Pretty stupid comments for him to make considering he's playing in basically in his hometown.

I'm sure he said "I hate them" in a tongue and cheek way as evidenced by him quickly saying he doesn't actually hate them and has a healthy respect for them. If this was a TV interview and we could see the context in which he said it, I'm sure it would be obvious.
Anyone trying to make a story out of this beyond good rivalry must be really bored, including the Province.

Pretty much. Anyone actually thinking he's serious on the idea of hating Canada is looking at the quote wrongly and just fishing a reason to hate.
