Just listening to 960. Sounds like that last goal is staying with Nash.

You guys should be happy. Here, in the States we get to listen to Milbury and Jeremy Roenick do the intermission and postgame analysis. They offer nothing insightful, really bad, I hope NBC got them cheaply.

I couldn't see Bergeron sticking long term on the 1st line. Nice adjustment by Babcock. Iginla a natural fit.

TSN is reporting Iginla with the hattrick. I wonder if they actually change goals after in olympic hockey. Oh well it was still a great game by Iginla and we all know he got that last goal. I was actually hoping for 9, because I had predicted a 9-0 win.

Bergeron simply is not on the same calibre as Crosby Nash Iginla.

The official Olympic stats give the last goal to Nash.

And the Swedes that take the stats at the olympics are probably halfway pissed at some pub by now, so it won't be changing.

Probably the second or third best player on in the ice for both teams, and most definitely top-five.
He played a great game...sure...but don't try to compare his contributions in one game to other full tournament stats. Iginla was relatively average in 2002 minus the gold medal game.

I hope Sutter was actually paying attention to what happens when Iginla has true 1st line talent with him. Just like SJ having the balls to get Marleau a playmaker in Thornton and then going one step further and getting Heatley.

Sutter will do it for a top D man but not a true proven playmaker for Iginla.

BS if they don't change that goal. He clearly tipped it on the slow motion replay.

Iginla was particularly prominent, scoring three times, although the final goal - to complete the rout - was officially awarded to Rick Nash. That Iginla, Nash and Crosby were on the ice together by the end something of a surprise, given that they didn't get much going as a line during the August orientation camp and Patrice Bergeron began the game in that spot.
It didn't last though - and Iginla, a two-time NHL goal-scoring champion and a prominent contributor to the 2002 gold-medal win, filled in admirably in that spot, as if he and Crosby had been waiting a long time to get together. Whatever chemistry might have been missing back in August looked as if it was developing in a hurry last night.
"I thought the chemistry was good in camp," said Nash afterwards. "People just have to remember it was the first time we ever skated together. As we get practicing tomorrow and then into another game, it's just going to get better and better. Towards the end, we started to figure each other's game out."

1. Iginla scored that goal there's no doubt about it.

2. That line must stay together! Iginla earned that spot tonight. He's a much better sniper than Bergeron.
