Agreed. As A Canucks Fan, I can't stand Iginla. However, I hope he has the tournament of his life, and helps us get gold.
All of the players selected to our hockey team deserve to be there. Luongo Included. Time to drop the pettiness, and just take in the beauty that is the Olympic tournament. Hopefully most of the people who are being petty on this board, will drop their hostilities once the puck is dropped.

I hope Canada wins, but I also hope Luongo gets lit up like fireworks and is pulled putting in Fleury or Brodeur. I wouldn't mind him losing his confidence when he gets back to the NHL.
Canada Wins with Brodeur.
Van gets 7uongo.
Calgary is refreshed for a last stretch.

I wonder if Luongo will dive at some point in the game and Pronger will say
"hey Lou just get up its embarrassing"

All I ask from Luongo is he doesn't do what he does playing for the Canucks. It is truly embarrassing and having him do it in front of the World would not be good. I'm sure it's a natural reaction for him now but hopefully he can control it.

You mean the King who holds all the records that Greaser will never come close to.
I give it 10 min into the first period until Lou starts up his acting antics.

All the Flames fans will be saying "Boooooooo" and all the Canucks fans will think they've finally converted us.

Brodeur = more experience.
If they are both fit to play, Brodeur gets the nod, regardless of you being a Canucks homer or not.

Brodeur is just as bad at embellishing. I'm sure some would say hes even worse.
The only difference is what division he plays in. (If he played for the Canucks, Flames fans would despise him)
Ranger fans HATE Brodeur and his "diving ways" much like Calgary Fans hate Roberto.

That being said, Both goalies are terrific and I'm confident with either one of them in net.

Nobody comes close to Luongo in the embellishment category. If he is chosen to be the #1 guy I hope he does well, all though I think Brodeur gives us the best chance in net, but I hope he realizes his antics are not only embarassing to himself but also the jersey he is wearing.

Its perspective. It's much easier to look only at a players faults when they belong to a rival team.
I assure you that there are Ranger fans who believe Brodeur to be a choking dive artist, who is the product of playing under a terrific system, and is Vastly overrated.
I'm not saying they are correct, just that sometimes rose coloured glasses tend to perceive players in a different light. Especially if they belong to a Rival team.

I don't like French-Canadian hockey players in general. I assure you the way i view Luongo has nothing to do with him being a Canuck and more to do with him being french. But Brodeurs french too. I still think Luongo is a much more slimy and unethical hockey player than Martin. I don't hope that Bierto fails.. I just really hope he doesn't pull any of his token greaseball shenanigans.
