Ok update, my coding skills suck badly so the web site isn't coming along.

So here is my line of thinking.

There is an amazing web site out there that supports and hosts leagues. You do not have to download any software or client which is nice.

It's extremely in depth - it starts with a fantasy draft, and you control finances up thte point of choosing the price you sell beer and hot dogs at.

It costs $15 per league per season which I would gladly pay. I have signed up for a league there and will be supplying you people with the login information soon.

You can take a look at the site at www.websimhockey.com

I will create a separate message board where we can discuss trades and stuff. Unfortunately it only allows 24 teams per league instead of 30 so the first 24 people to sign up for this will be in.

The draft order is randomized.

Isn't there anyway we could create a CPHL 2 league? Same as the one on this board, with just a second sim going on? Create a second forum and run the same software the original CPHL uses?

The mods would have to set it up, but i think that would be the best way.

That's correct.

The exciting thing is that I would like to make everyone interested, pay in a small amount (like maybe 30 bucks) and the Stanley Cup champ will get an engraved trophy and a RBK Premier jersey.

Makes things a little more meaningful.

maybe for second season or a bit after, I would prefer to get the league going with a stable list of GM's first.

I'm in if it's snake draft; separate prospect draft would be cool as well.

Well I just found out this website charges each GM $15 to be done via paypal, which I think is a royal ripoff. I'm sort of out of options.

So unless someone has some innovative bright ideas here this may end up being a nice thought and not much more.

Ok quick poll here:

Who here is willing to pay $15 per season (per team) to go with the web-hosted league?

It's the easiest, most seamless, most in-depth and requires the least work, but obviously it's not free.

So a simple yes or no. If the majority says no, we'll have to find a different solution or can the whole idea.

I think we can try to ask the CPHL commishes (Flambers and Jiri) to see we can copy their web format for a CPHL2.

I know, but unless you're planning on designing a web site there's not much you can really do right now.

The web-hosted one is an option, if people don't want to pay the $15, like I said we might have nothing since nobody will want to/be able to code HTML and stuff.

Paying for a league is a deal breaker for me. (Especially one that only has 24 teams in it.)

Another vote for creating a CPHL2.
