Tool
Radiohead
Deftones
Kyuss
Smashing Pumpkins
Queens of the Stone Age

What am I missing? Is there something I just neeeed to hear??

I am not a spammer. But I just joined this site ... www.last.fm It might help you find some music similiar to those bands. The concept is you can listen to a radio station of music for a band. Then it will play music that is similiar to the band that you choose.

You get to listen to 40 songs worth for free and then it is $3 per month.

Just a thought.

Just finished checking out all of the Chevelle albums and I have to say that their newest one is by far the best one IMO. I will be buying this one.

Pandora.com works along those lines, and I have found it is fantastic for discovering new bands and artists. Pandora is free and gives you a dozen skips across all bands/artists, or you can pay and have unlimited skips. I don't find the limited skips a problem.

Unfortunately it's only available for those with U.S. IPs. I believe there are some threads in tech talk that have ways around this. Edit: http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthread.php?t=82479
