The Perpsi commercials don't have the Olympic logo because Coca Cola is the official soft drink of the Olympic Games.

That's what I was saying. Coca Cola has to pay to sponsor the Olympics and for the right to use the logo. Pepsi is trying to profit off the Olympics without even supporting them.

And on top of that their chant is terrible.

I bet the contract that Coke signed with the olympics has something in there stating that Pepsi is not allowed to also be a sponsor.

I'd feel like a schmuck chanting that in a hockey arena.

I noticed that they started to push this whole new chant garbage at the Canada Red vs. White game in August. So contrived and forced. Embarrassing really.

The Pepsi campaign to get this going was ridiculous. "The US has the U-S-A chant and Canada needs one too." Is that really that different than CA-NA-DA?

It's completely obnoxious and arrogant. I think it's great. I'd love it if I was an American.

Hilarious. I didn't know what I was going to cheer, but now thanks to Pepsi, I know just what to yell.

Other than a brief jumbotron commercial in the 2nd (?) intermission, not really. Come to think of it, that ad didn't even have the "new cheer". There were no girls in Pepsi/Canada jerseys running around trying to get people to chant this time. Maybe they realized people despise it and it is actually a kind of anti-advertising?

Pepsi should know their audience - there are going to be a lot of Rider fans there, so with their drunkenness + general inability to count to 12, 6 syllables might be too complex for them.

Before watching the video and just reading the text, it sounded like Tony Danza in my head.

I thought, did Pepsi hire a bunch of Italian-Americans to write our chant?
