I will never return to that resteraunt.
They had a serious mold problem, not to mention just plain old sanitary problems.
I reported them to OH&S along with the food inspection guys (can't remember the name of the department right now).
I was rather hoping they were shut down, and that resteraunt was destroyed.

Do you go to DuBarry's? LOL

If you go with a bunch of people just go to harbour city on centre street and 3rd ave and order a few plates. I usually order one meat dish per person depending on how hungry we are and it is way better quality than any buffet I have been to.

I've been dying for some ginger beef (sadly, you can't find it in the US) and want to get some when I come home for Xmas. Definitely Calgary's tastiest contribution to the culinary world.
Ho Won in China-town, hands down best ginger beef / chicken and salt and pepper squid in the freaking country.

My fave ginger beef, and gwai lo chinese in general, is King's on 17th Ave SW. Their stuff is westernized but it's excellent quality.

For "real" Chinese I like Harbour City for dim sum, Calgary Court for HK diner, and Han's for absolutely superb Taiwanese food.

There's a buffet at Macleod Tr. Used to be called Treasures of China. They also have one downtown. I vote for Yangtze at Deerfoot Mall. They have a lot of selection especially during weekends/nights. It's pricier but better food than Home Food Inn. Singapore Sam's at 32nd closed down/changed their name. Just tried it once and never went again.

Is there still a Foody Goody in Calgary? As I mentioned before the one on Deerfoot changed to Yangtze years ago from Foody Goody and the quality is much better. Don't be afraid to give it a try just cause it used to be Foody Goody.
