I voted for Fadi Gurguis. I voted for Bryan West last year to beat out that Barski guy but he's got ties to the Liberal party so I didn't vote for him because of that. Also Fadi is a good guy who will take the job seriously. He completely took over the economics club and worked really hard at making it better.
I also voted for Matt Trotta because of this post, go Trotta.
As far as my criteria for the other positions, I generally voted for people who looked the least annoying/cocky/arrogant in their pictures. All the guys with the stupid horn rimmed glasses were automatically weeded out, as well as the keener/nerdy types.

Thanks for the votes guys, I knew I could count on you guys at CP... lets just hope its enough... and I look forward to being able to work with the Rock.

Hey Agamemnon... you have a GRST degree right? I just had my GRST midterm today. Holy Jeez I will never make fun of the humanities again!

GRST? I'm not familar w/ that term for some reason... General Studies? I got Pol/Sci and History degrees. They had many midterms, and some were indeed difficult
Props for not making fun of humanities again, you should have started a long time ago :P

The Rock came in a fairly impressive third place... too bad it didn't win... probably the best of that bunch.
I don't feel too bad about losing, I only decided to re-run at the last minute, and I'll probably consider joining the Senate as a Community Member, so I don't have to listen to the constant stream of crap coming from the SU...
Opinions though... if you have nothing nice to say to the Gauntlet or about this election... would you simply decline interview should the Gauntlet presumably want it?

Ah, I wish, that would have been an awsome degree to take. Maybe when I'm older...

I don't doubt he's a good guy... and the fact that the Gauntlet didn't seem to like him enough to endorse him makes me like him even more.
I think the Rock best represents what the Students want... a figurehead that looks decent and can have things presented on it that look good.
I don't think people are particularly interested in ideas, cause most of them are regurgitated, unfeasible, or in my case, simply not of the interest of students (I'll freely admit it... my ideas were not flashy and therefore, not interesting).
The election, and even last years election, where I did win, shows that people don't care and follow the prevailing whims of the local rag, or vote at random.

I really can't believe people fell for that crap...
Harvey even put a letter in the Gauntlet saying that the teams would not be cut regardless of this plebiscite. I find it particularly funny that people cry about tuition, yet they seem to routinely vote to increase costs...
That being said, the increase for Campus Rec. was warranted... thats a well stocked gym and an excellent bargain.

So the one person and one 'thing' I vote for both didn't win. This would've made me more apathetic towards SU elections if I hadn't already hit rock bottom on my first day of university last year.
Sorry to hear you didn't win, Thunderball...
