I'm a big fan of the double-doubles. I'm pretty sure the cream is what makes the coffee taste so good, rather than the brew itself. Several of my friends don't care for the coffee at all, and all of them drink it black. People say that Timmy's puts "something" in their coffee - well, it's called a lot of thick cream. No conspiracy, just fat and sugar.

Is Tim's coffee really that much better than 7-11? 20 mins better?

I can take or leave Tim's coffee. But I love their Iced Caps, and I've recently started eating their cookies which are also very good.
However, I'm much more apt to just go to McDonalds for a sausage and egger and a coffee if I'm looking for a quick breakfast on the weekend.

The one in Chestemere is the best Timmies in (or around) Calgary. Usually if there is about 10 cars in line it will take under 3 minutes.
I don't drink coffee and only get a chai tea and a bagel but i swear it tastes better in Chestemere. The tea tastes a hundred times better than any other Timmies even though it's only water and a tea bag Can't figure it out.

I have to agree the sandwiches suck now.
I used to eat them all the time back then, now the bread is pretty stale, the meat tastes a little funky.
I don't mind the chicken salad though.
If you're hungry and you only have a Timmy's around, don't get a sandwich...get two chicken salad snack wraps. It's cheaper, the tortilla doesn't cut your mouth, and you get way more chicken.

Actually the 7-11 original blend is awesome coffee. I am the total anti coffee snob. I do not understand why you have to buy an expensive cup of coffee when 7-11 and Mac's both have an excellent cup.
One place though who's coffee is terrible, is A & W.

If that's true, its incredibly stupid since Tim Horton's in English should be chez Tim Horton in French. So instead of picking one or the other, or having different names in difference provinces, they just go with something that's wrong in both languages. Brilliant.

I don't get the appeal of K-Cup brewers. It takes me literally 20 seconds to throw some fresh beans in the grinder and then into a normal paper filter coffee maker. Much nicer than pre-ground coffee, and on par with coffee shop coffee generally speaking.
Or is everyone just stealing K-Cups from work? Is that the reason?

I've never understood the fascination with Tim Horton's. Honestly the coffee is passable, and the food has taken a decline in the last few years. I don't really understand why people get up 30 mins early to sit in a traffic jam encircling a building.
