I think that was just at the top of the hill west of bowfort road, kinda of where the trailer park is now.
I think I remember when that clubhouse burnt down (about 15 years ago or so), I belive it had been turned into a steakhouse at the time it burnt down.
Of course I could be wrong on all of that, but I seem to remember it that way.

I remember that place, had no clue it was a clubhouse or that there was a golf course there.

I don't that is what it is. It looks like a communications tower on top of the Palliser hotel.

Bigtime's right. You see it in a lot of the older pictures.
I vaguely remember that Robin Hood Flour Elevator when I was a kid. (almost dead center in the photo)

My favorite part of this comparison is looking at the trees on the side of the road, knowing that most of those are the same trees you see in the recent photo.

Can anybody confirm this. This is a picture of Midnapore from 1914. If that is the historic St.Pauls Anglican church in the top picture then that means the road in the top picture is Macleod 100 years earlier.

Apparently this is where it was. Looks like a pile of rubble now.

That Church looks the same...theres two there I think...one of them must be it.
As for the grain elevator, the town of Midnapore had at least one, possibly two, with a rail spur, on the East side of the road. (right about where Pro Skate is now) the west side of Macleod had a fertilizer place most recently...which used to be a seed cleaning place (similar looking building, but way different inside) which was right about where the Nissan dealer is now
At least that how I remember it, Now all you kids, get off my lawn!

Yup, that's how I remember it too.
I'm pretty sure there were 2 Alberta Pool elevators in Midnapore. I also remember the time when passing those elevators meant you were almost in Calgary.
