How is the co-op anyway? I have yet to try that out.
Co-op is really fun. Especially if you have a mix of classes. The solider seems like the best class for co-op since his turret has auras for all allies. Can send in a tank to draw the bad guys, sniper sits back...ect. I only bought this game because it was cheap, but it is really fun.
Has anyone played this and left 4 dead? They seem similar to me (the co-op aspect). Which one do you prefer?
Hmm this sounds pretty cool. If there are any extremely casual PS3 users who want to throw down, feel free to add me. I have a 24 siren but I'm down with rolling whatever.
A friend of mine called this game an FPS version of Diablo 2. Is that an accurate comparison? I really don't enjoy FPS games on consoles, so I might have to obtain a "very cheap" PC version.

These are just the beginning videos. They don't give anything away, but they give you a bit of a sense of the gameplay. Keep in mind this is all like level 1-5 stuff.
I finally got this game today. I have been to 3 different EB games, I've been to Walmart and Future Shop a few times and Rodgers Video all with no luck. On my way home this morning I figured I would just rent it at Blockbuster and luckily they had it to buy. Feel free to add me if you want to play any Co-op, my PSN I.D. is BJW92.

The comparison with Diablo is in the weapons in the game (randomize stats (damage, fire rate, elemental damage, bonuses, level requirements), the ability to play up to 4 person co-op, leveling up and skill trees, and 4 different unique characters with different skills
Yes it would be easier with a headset, however, the voice chat in it is supposedly always on (with a patch due out later to correct that) and is about normal for steam, with lousy voice detection and a tendency to cut off either the beginning or end of your sentences.
So to correct, all what's really needed is a microphone. I have one that I use, and fiddling with the volume is usually enough that I don't get feedback.

Yeah, you just need to get a decent mic and the right settings for the auto voice pick-up thing to work since it was designed for consoles which by de facto use a headset since you don't have a desk in front of you to have a mic.
The headset helps though by having a set distance from your mouth.
halfway through Playthrough 2 with my Hunter, and wow is the difficulty ramped up from the first time through. really makes it that much more rewarding to find that "OMFG" gun from a vendor or chest. my guy is a walking death machine as long as i'm patient and don't just rush into everything, which is perfect. i also love how much this game rewards headshots, finally a critical damage system that actually makes sense and isn't random
Steam updated borderlands today. Is it broken for anybody else? Me and another player are seeing graphical glitches and flashing lines and flickering shadows everywhere there is a light source. The steam update broke the game and it's hard to play.
