Yep, Burris has been far from good, but the receivers haven't been helping him out either. I noticed at the Ham game they weren't getting any separation, and it is looking the same again today.
Oh did I mention how much I love the 3 man rush which still leaves wide open receivers close to the 1st down line????

That was brutal.
The Stamps never get that leeway.

The O STINKS.
Receivers aren't getting open - are they all that slow?
Burris isn't playing his best, all teams need to do is concentrate on shutting down Reynolds (ala Ham last week) and they will have a VERY good chance to win.
Good news is the D has finally come around and is playing well - earlier in the year it was the O who had to carry the heavy luggage, now it's the D.
I just wonder if they will ever put it all together. Next week vs Sask would be a really good time....

What's wrong with throwing between the hashmarks?
We don't have a single attempted throw over the middle this game by my count.

The winner of next week's game is probably going to host the west final. The Stamps need that game to be at McMahon.

And wouldn't those passes be going to Nik Lewis? I can't believe how little he is being used this season.

I don't know why Cortez play calling is always in question here. We see the play calling with Joffrey running the ball and Burris passing the ball. Most of the offense (or lack-of) was because of Burris play and the Als defense. Cortez was not the one who threw an INT on the first play, he's the one who's overthrowing the ball to the receivers either. Burris is struggling period and I am not sure what the coaching staff can do to make him play better. There was one play were Burris could have run the ball the way he was running before but instead he kept on looking for a receiver(who by the way, were all covered).

Anyone else notice that anytime we get a first down with short throws that Cortez immediately takes a shot downfield.
It's happened 2 or 3 times...which is almost all our first downs.

I think the real question is is it Cortez calling that, or Burris wanting to push it??
Hard to tell when we're not on the sidelines.
Cortez didn't suddenly become a moron - the guy won a cup with Marcus freaking Crandell.

If Burris is accurate there, that is a TD for Lewis...

Well, the Cortez is the one calling a deep ball to start the game when he should be looking to get easy first downs and get the confidence of the offense up.
Cortez is the one who doesn't call any easy throws over the middle to pick up easy yardage.
Cortez is the one who calls for a deep ball every time we've got a first down using runs and short throws.
Burris is definitely struggling, but Cortez isn't doing him any favors by not making any compromises in the playcalling.
