I won a cooler from under the cap of a coke bottle about 10 years ago.

My mom won the Flames tickets from Co-op for 2004 playoffs, round 1, game 6. They had only one pair of tickets for the whole city.

I've got a friend who enters every free contest she ever comes across -- it makes sense. Your expected value is going to be positive, so you have nothing to lose except for a couple of minutes. She's won a bunch of random contests from it. I've now just started.

I knew one person who won Super 7 and another that won 6/49.

I say "knew" because they have pretty much gone into seclusion, even though it has been years since they won.

I've never won anything but a guy I worked with did... actually his girlfriend did, and she won a new home a few years ago in a contest that the Calgary Sun put on.
Also, an old girlfriend of mine had a sister who had a boyfriend who won the Calgary Stampede dream home, years ago.
I also worked with another guy who's common-law wife won $100,000 in the Lotto 649

Back in the day, i used to call into radio stations all the time. I won a ton of cd's and other random junk...the best was probably winning a free trip on a bus to Edmonton to see a Flames game. It was called the Molson Battle Bus, and they gave out free beer all the way up the highway....people were so drunk by the time that we got there, a few people got into fights with the locals and one even got stabbed.

I managed to win again the next, year, but curiously there was a one-beer-per-passenger policy, and it was somehow now full of families with kids.

About 10 years ago I won a trip to Jamaica from the Playboy channel
Then I won a "dream" wedding in Mexico from the Calgary Sun, that contest we actually had to work for though - Thanks again CP!!
Earlier this year I won a 53" LCD TV and PS3 from the Fan 960.

Haven't won any cash yet but coincidentally enough I got an email this morning from some dude in Nigeria. Apparently I have been selected to receive millions of dollars in unclaimed riches.......so I have that going for me. Which is nice.

In vegas I played an Elvis themed progressive slot... line up 3 Elvis heads you win the pot witch was 30 mil at the time. I lined up 2 heads and the third drop right under the line.

My Dad enters all the radio stations give-aways, but he does so for about 12 different people (manages their profiles) so he wins tonnes and tonnes of stuff. Mexico vacations, movie passes, event tickets, hockey tickets, money, golf, etc etc etc...
