Haha, thankfully my Shiba hasn't used the scream since he was a pup. He prefers a weird bark that isn't quite small dog, but isn't quite big dog. It's like a big dog going through puberty.
We did have a Siamese cat when my Shiba was a pup, that was a really noisy and annoying household.
When he's being extra annoying I throw my hoodie on him and he'll just sit there until I take it off:
Adopt the Shiba if you have a chance, they're really quirk and fun dogs. It's like having a Husky, but with half the shedding (only because they are half the size though). Mine also switches between cat modes (where he's uninterested in anything you're doing) to lapdog depending on his mood.
