How do you position your hands on the steering wheel?

Some of us have short legs and longer arms. If my arm is not resting on the window and 10, my fingers sometimes dangle like you described (I like to drive 12 and shifter). To be fair though, I only wear my gangster hats forward, because it is not 1993 any more.

I think you're just jealous of my awesome Blue Jays gangster hats and manual domestic 4x4. And if your Acura actually had a rocket launcher, my loud inappropriate rap music would distract you from firing it.

Left hand at around 9:30, right hand at around 2:30 when not on the shift knob.

I have one hand at 12 and the other hand feeding me sunflower seeds, but most of my driving is on the highway. In the city, I tend to keep one hand at 10 and the other about 3 or 4 when I am not shifting.

Right hand adjusts the heat, A/C, changes songs on my iPod and occasionally, is used to flip the bird to anyone that cuts me off.

Always two hands on the wheel. One usually at 2-3 and the other at 9. After having a wheel fall off, you tend to keep both hands on the wheel at all times. Paranoid? maybe. Safe? definetely.

Sorry, but what would having two hands on the wheel do rather than one if the steering wheel fell off?

alternate both hands at 12 o'clock. I rarely drive with two hands on the wheel. I find it really uncomfortable.
