Or get in some much larger sexual harassment charges. But hey!

People who just don't show up one day and figure the job isn't worth being professional and ethical enough to do things in a considerate fashion are often the same people who spend their lives working crap jobs. Wonder why.

Go in, tell them you have decided to move on (with letter of resignation in hand), all done. Or maybe you should suck it up and work until you find another job. Or is sitting at home collecting EI just more up your alley compared to working a job that, uh, isn't awesome?

Jeebus, I am feeling abrasive tonight apparently.

Can you go on EI for quitting your job?

Also some people, including me, fine happiness better than money. Not everything revolves around your job.

"Can you go on EI for quitting your job?"

Yes. You just have to serve a six week waiting period instead of a two week. Assuming that you qualify for the maximum benefits, as most people who go on EI do, you are basically costing yourself four weeks of benefits (approx $1600) to quit instead of waiting to be terminated.

Are you sure about that?

I was quickly reading the website and it said you would not qualify unless you quit for a bunch of reasons but none in which Misskat would be quitting for.

Because if that is the case I should be getting paid!

Well, we can safely say that MissKat will be forever banished from credibility here...

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, I want to quit my job. I could list a bunch of reasons, none of which would be relevant. What should I do?

Wow, I wish I could wander through life, ignorant.

Meh.
There's quite a difference between prioritizing happiness over money, and sleeping in and ignoring calls when deciding to leave a job.

We've all had crap jobs with ######-bag managers over the years, but there's a minimum level of respect and protocol everyone should try to abide by...I mean is it really that hard to just tell someone your quitting? What you call prioritizing happiness over money, I call being a lazy coward.

If this is your attitude with meager jobs, I'm going to assume your attitude is not that much better when a decent one comes around.

Lol, assume all you want then. It's the internet. I actually make quite a comfortable living.

And I don't appreciate anyone insinuating someone else is a lazy coward on this website. I insinuate you're a huge, assuming, judgmental cowardly jackass now. Those who decide to preach in this thread (of all threads) seem to be the worst of the bunch. I guess we're even, Mr. Right and Honorable.
