I wouldn't expect too many original ideas from Chuck, but it has a really tight cast (they all have chemistry with one another it seems), and it's a really well done show. It might not be mindblowing, but it is a very easy way to be entertained for an hour. Probably one of my favourite new shows I started watching.
Thankfully it doesn't start up again until March, which means that my favourite TV shows are pretty well spaced out.
Aside from my previously mentioned Dexter and The Office, I'm really looking forward to Top Gear, probably the show I anticipate most.
Top Gear just finished their last series a month ago.
There is also that new show Community that looks pretty good.
hahaha, that's all good. That post actually put a big smile on my face. Believe me, i'm well aware that 2.5 men isn't a "good" show. It's trash TV, but so is Big Brother and I never miss an episode of that. It's entertainment, not everything has to be a work of art.
For the record, I don't hate Nickelback, but no, I wouldn't say I like them either. I just don't believe they are the devil like a vast majority of people. I don't mind a few of their songs.
I don't like your taste in movies or tv either, but my hat's off to you for neither being ashamed to admit it nor starting up flamewars when people start trashing your taste. Nothing ruins these threads more than when they devolve into people crapping all over each other for what amounts to nothing more than personal taste.
Edit: And back on topic, I'm looking most forward to Southland.

Law & Order: SVU, Criminal Minds and How I Met Your Mother are must see for me. Not sure how I'll juggle SVU and Criminal Minds since they're on at the same time. One of them will take a back burner to the other.
Contrary to popular opinion, DVR, not a dog, is man's best friend. It will save you so much tv watching strife...you can record both, and watch them at your leisure and not be forced to flip back and forth. Plus it's also really great for hockey....for those those times when you just can't (or for some reason don't want to) commit 3 hours to a hockey at the time that it's on. With DVR you can go out and live your life, and come back and watch the game whenever you want (and if the game is a bore or the team is laying an egg, you can easily fast forward till something good happens).

Besides the Office really not counting down for anything besides the months till Chuck is back on. Season 2 was a near perfect season and turned it into my favorite show on TV. It doesn't take itself to seriously and has found a way to mix romance, music, comedy and action better then any other show on TV. You feel connected to the characters and that has a lot to do with Patrick Rush's great casting
Well this will be an interesting year.
No Battlestar Galactica
No Shield
No Without a Trace (only watched when desperate)
No Prison Break (only watched because I committed to the first two seasons (man that show got BAD))
Dexter, The Office, Curb Your Enthusiasm, SNL, 30 Rock...
I'm planning to give Glee a chance. And I might check out that Mercy show. I'll probably also PVR some reality TV if I have time to watch it (survivor, top chef, biggest loser).
I'll be sticking to Heroes this Fall. Volume 3 got really weird and really dumb, but I felt Volume 4 made up for most of it and got it back to a lot of what made it successful in its first season (minus that STUPID GODAWFUL 50's FLASHBACK EPISODE GAH!!). Having seen the trailer for Volume 5, I have to say that there seems to be quite a coherent story and arc set in place, so I'll keep with it.
I am also going to give Heroes another shot, it was to good to just give up. Now that they got the origional writers back I think that this season will be great.
Other shows I am looking forward to are Big Bang Theory, I heard lots about it but never watched it until this summer now I am PVRing every episode that I can find. Survivor and Amazing Race of course. House, the trailer for the new season, maybe this year someone will have Lupis.....

I am going to watch the pilot for Melrose Place tonight.
May God have mercy on my soul.
Good to see the new version of this show is as trashy as the original. I won't be following it any further, only because the cast makes me feel so very old.
