Ya when did those explode so much down in C-town? I was down there last month and couldn't believe how much "Tapout" paraphanalia I saw people wearing. That's way bigger down there than it is up here in stinktown.

I think it's pretty funny how oblivious most of these guys are when it comes to their rankings on the ######ometer.
Dear Tough Guys,
Nobody is afraid of you. We're all laughing at you because you look like a tool.

Unfortunately there's a lot of very uneducated people out there when it comes to MMA... ironically these same people often tolerate boxing (like my ex-girlfriend), but think MMA is... I'm not sure, but somehow 'worse than boxing'.
I'd loooove to read a convincing argument as to why "UFC is similar to human cockfighting'. Seriously, bring it out.

That is completely false! We don't stick needles in our arms we pass the bong around. Geeez some people just don't know anything.

The cost for a fight club membership is $75 a year. When you add that to the expected high ticket prices, I think that will price out a lot of the typical F.V. BC Lion crowd that some people are worried will cause problems.

Hmm... a lot of the people you really have to worry about have lots of illegal sources of income.
You won't see the toothless burnt out abbotsford rowdy, but you will see the roided up affliction t-shirt wearing abbotsford rowdy out in force. If they can afford to spend hundreds of dollars a month on roids, they can afford the UFC tickets.

The bong is the gateway to the needle and the crackpipe. You're just developmentally delayed or you'd be on to the hard stuff by now!

You obviously havn't been down to Discovery & Government at the right time of day.
Actually, I find it kind of funny that Vancouver has banned MMA events, but fogey town here just had a big MMA event two weekends ago at Bear Mountain.

No one but families go for the sand castles. The rest go to get drunk and jump on the sand castles.

You know, I hate poker on TV. I despise it. But if someone brought the World Series Of Poker here, I wouldn't go around making a lot of noise opposing it. I just wouldn't have anything to do with it.
This does not seem to apply to the UFC. People are downright adamant that it shouldn't come here.
If you don't like it, don't watch it. What gives everyone the right to tell me what I should like or dislike?
|
Why bother bringing the UFC to Vancouver. Why not just wait until the canucks lose in the Finals again.

Because the fighters in that case wouldn't pass a drug test.

Thanks Mr. Stereotype! You do realize that B.C. is a province of diverse opinions unlike Alberta which is dominated by Conservatives.
