I'm actually not faring to bad against it too bad and I'm with the Broncos D. Found two man under is better suited rather then to blitz on the wildcat.
The whole outside running games and Running Back flats are far to effective in how slow the linebackers react to the play. Those two things right now, especially the latter are the game killers that EA has to address in the 2nd patch if it isn't in the first one already.

I didn't play last years Madden. The last Football game I bought was NCAA 08, and compared to that, I was having a harder time running. I was getting the hang of it, and busting some pretty decent runs until I bumped up the difficulty today after getting the hang of running.

Depends on what Wildcat play they are running. The direct snap to a receiver with 85+ speed is unstoppable when they run to the outside.

I'm absolutely loving the gameplay compared to the last few years. I had some extra marketplace points kicking around, so I bought the booster packs. They make things almost too easy so I've pretty well turned them all off.

There are some franchise options that I DO NOT like as compared to other years. The gameplay is so much better, but I guess I always appreciated the small things, like player progression.
And it seems the Vikings suck at covering man to man...who knew the game would be so bang on?!

The difficulty levels are funny because I complete dominate at Pro. (Won 63-7)
I turned it up to All-Pro and lost 28-14. Won my second game 21-17 in a late-game shootout.

I noticed that too. Pro is just so easy, All-Pro is alot harder, but I haven't lost yet, actually shut out the Lions 14-0.
But I'm not used to having an anemic offense.

My offense was awful in my first All-Pro game.
In my second game I won on a touchdown with 0:02 left on the clock in the 4th Quarter.
I uploaded the clip but it didn't turn out very well... either way, you can see it (and the information about the play) here:

I was getting annoyed at the awfulness of my pass coverage so I turned it down to Rookie, to compare to All-Pro, I won 79-0 had 5 INT's, 4 sacks, 3 fumble recoveries, 8 TD passes.
Go back to All-Pro and lose to the Detroit Lions who intercept me 3 times, 2 for TD's.
It is just brutal. I played Pro as well and whooped, but it isn't fun when your winning so badly, I like a happy medium. All-Pro just is too much of a step up. I don't understand why my pass coverage is so terrible on All-Pro, nearly every play they run works. It is just brutul. I can stop the rush fine, but through the air is killing me. I have tried man-to-man, cover 2, cover 3, blitz, nothing works. And then it is the opposite when I play offence, they tear me up in the air, long passes just don't work (although I got 2 the other day). All I can do successfully is screens and short 5 year passes.

I've just been using the "my skill" feature again this year. Seems to maintain a good difficulty for me.

I want the achievements, so that is why I am NOT using it, but when I checked it, my rush defence and rushing offence was set to 14 difficulty, and my passing and pass defence was set to like 3 and 4. LOL
Edit: Well after playing some of the worst offensive passing teams and getting killed for 250 yards, I can conclude that it is impossible to stop them on All-Pro. They can go from their 10 yard line to my endzone in 1:30 minutes if they want to. Nothing I call, blitz, cover 2, cover 3, combination, works. If I don't get a sack, or bat the ball down, it is at least an 8 yard completion every time, most times 1st down. It is getting to the point where it is just annoying and broken. Jackson (from the Vikings) is not that accurate yet he can throw a 40 yard long bomb in triple coverage, and my guys can't get it. Ridiculous.

Oh, and Vick is in the game now. His running abilities are all in the 90's it is unreal, but his overall is only 73, which is should be.

You have take the Madden Test first right? And then it just adjusts itself every game? I might have to look into that.
After building a 14-0 lead against the 49ers, I lost 17-14 on the last play of the game.

Yeah you just have to take the test, I like it. Although I may put it to all-pro but I hate losing.

It's always going to be like this to some degree though, you have different difficulties, the CPU will compensate as you increase the difficulty by inflating the CPU ratings. The best thing they could do is come up with 2 options 1) forgiving setting of sliders where AI is dumbed down slightly from true rating and 2) realistic settings where AI movement and decisions are based purely off ratings. No Rookie, no Pro, no All Pro, no All Madden..and especially no IQ.

Man, I just had fun game versus the Packers with Vick, and the rest of Eagles, Vick got in on few plays, got a TD.
Almost lost, but McNabb to Jackson for 81 yd TD to put it out of reach.

Just like in the real NFL you have to get pressure on the QB and then he'll make mistakes. I noticed the QB was picking me apart because he was getting far to much time in the pocket.
I use two things to rush the passer, i either rush an LB, or i rush one of the ends, and use the right stick. I'm only getting ~3 sacks per game, however often i'll hit the QB as he throws, sometime resulting in a pick, or he'll have to throw it away because the pressure is to strong.

I am loving the DeSean Jackson, got 105 yard missed field goal return for a TD today with him, him and Maclin are a fun combo to have.
