Sgt Slaughter is getting real on Canadian American relations.

I wasn't going to post in this thread because I hate to be that guy that comes along and says "this is stupid"... but this is hilarious. Took the words right off of my keyboard.

Laugh it up guys, we had a great time. It was hilarious to say the least. Nothing extraordinary happened, but it was a lot of fun just going with the flow. Brett never did show up but they were chanting for him the entire night. Sergeant Slaughter heckled the Canadians the whole evening, which got old, but was entertaining just the same.
To all you nay sayers and those too good for a fun night of wrestling entertainment, I say, lighten up!

Pyro is really really loud. And Big Show is really really big. And Calgary fans are suckers for thinking Bret Hart would actually show up

That bit with Hacksaw coming out was gold.
That was always my Grandpa's favourite wrestler back in the day.

So nobody whooped Sgt Slaughter for his Canada smack? I thought his first speech was pretty bang on however.

HBK hitting the little girl with sweet chin music was awesome. I can't stand that guy, but DX ftw. Not a great show, but the DX vignettes were worth watching.

Me and the fiance went to a ecw/smackdown taping. It was fun but nothing to really get amped up about. I use to watch back in the good ole days when Brett Hart was in it. Yes he was my favorite wreslter. But when I watched the friday night smackdown later that week and the camera angles they use to cover up the guy thats on the top rope and the helpless guy wiggling his way right to the perfect spot for the guy to land on him.
I thought it was fun since it was my first event that I got to see live.
I watched in and out tonight while packing for the move but I was upset that Brett didn't come out. Oh well guess I can wish.

haha I haven't watched wrestling in at least 4-5 years..my bro and I started talking about it and then we coincidentally remembered that it was on tonight, from Calgary. It was cool to see a lot of the "old" wrestlers...especially Shawn Michaels cooking. Sargeant Slaughter is an annoying mofo and I was surprised that Bret didnt make an appearance....would have been interesting.

I watched the show last night and it wasn't a great show, the Diva match was surprisingly good, and the Jericho stuff was pretty funny, especially when he ran down Calgary and Canada.
I thought that the HBK stuff was kinda ######ed myself, and I didn't like the thought of a fully grown wrestler kicking a little girl in the face at all.
I also thought that it was funny that HHH stayed off of the show, but there was no way that he would get anything but hatred from the crowd based on his involvement in the Montreal Screwjob.

I taped the show, and watched it again when I got home. It wasn't as good on TV as it was live but then again, that's probably usually the case with any RAW or Smackdown show. I had two drunk guys in front of me who were chanting for Hornswoggle the entire night, lol.
I had good seats, two rows from the Titantron so even though I knew when the pyro was going to go off, it still made me jump. The Diva match I also enjoyed, and I also enjoyed seeing Slaughter play the heel role. The HHH/HBK segments were alright, though, they could have done something different as far as the whole search for Shawn Micheals thing goes.

I've been to a couple of these shows when they've come to calgary. They're pretty fun live. The last one i went to, i think it was Raw, back in the days of the rock, stone cold steve austin, HHH and stephanie mcmahon, undertaker, big show....it was pretty fun. Haven't watched in ages tho, but, sounds like it was still pretty fun!

I haven't watched wrestling in years but my buddy had a ticket for me row 2 ringside. Man, I laughed all night. I even caught that little midget's hat. It was a good time. Seeing all those kids in their t-shirts and belts reminded me of how much I used to love wrestling when I was a kid.
