Seeing as how it seems that there isn’t a Bama homer here I will try and fill the role as best as I can in Calgary. I find the SEC to be the best football out there to watch and follow. Ever since reading the book 'Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer" (http://www.rammerjammeryellowhammer.com/book.htm) I have been fascinated by Bama fans and try to follow the team as best as possible.

Back to the homerism: People were saying that Clemson was going to run in circles around Bama last year and I don’t remember that game being very close. I know there are huge holes to fill on the team this year but there is still some star power on the team (Hello: Julio Jones). I am sure that they are going nuts down in Tuscaloosa and I know it is easier to keep a level head up in Calgary. Personally I am just glad to see a big game to kick off the season. I would much rather watch VaTech then Charleston Southern or Washington.

I'm pretty sure if you took the top 10-15 teams this year you could predict, fairly accurately, the top 10-15 teams in 2015 through 2020. There may be 2-3 new teams year-to-year, but it's always the same thing.

I've always been a supporter of waiting to do the first season poll after 4-5 weeks into the season.

How do you handle the stench?
Its nice being close to Gainsville again.

I'm going to starkville to watch the MSU vs Florida game and might head to gainsville yet this year for a game.

Her dad got us tickets to 5 games. So I will go but I will not turn into a bammer fan.

I think perhaps I'm the only other Bama fan here.
