In other words, you're like the bloq quebecois
In terms of the numbers, they are two seperate weigted averages.
The right/left number determines where you are with respect to economic issues (the Y axis)
The libertarian/social conservative determines your cultural/moral views (the X axis).

I'm not surprised that I'm in a pretty similar spot as Photon and Jammies, but I'm quite shocked that I'm as close to transplant99 as I am!

Well, I'm apparently quite a bit more left than average, but also more authoritarian. That must be since I became a teacher and started building childrens walls.

As some said, some questions were puzzlers, like morality. First define morality or give us some context.

I've voted conservative to green and NDP but I guess at heart I'm a left wing pinko.

I'm pretty much there in the cohort with Thor and BlackEleven.
Interesting...
Within my demographic (age, sex, race), out of the major political parties in Canada, US, UK, and Australia the party I am most closely aligned with is the US Democrats.

For some reason I can't post the images. I'm glad I'm not the only one, but I feel a bit dumb.
I got "Center Left Social Libertarian": Left: 1.22, Libertarian: 6.81
I'd add: "Center Left Social Libertarian Who Sucks at Internet."

Some of the questions seem to me a bit slanted toward current events, rather than being abstract questions of "principle." It makes for a problem when a question is phrased like this:
Quote:
10. Sometimes war is necessary, even if it means you strike first.
|
It's obviously meant to make you think of the Iraq war--but the problem is that although I didn't love the decision to go to war in Iraq, I actually agree with the above statement in the abstract--because it's so vague. I generally oppose war, but even I can conceive of a situation in which "war is necessary, even if it means you strike first," if the only limit is my imagination. I'm forced to answer "Agree strongly," even though in general I oppose pre-emptive war.
