If only they were the only ones. Conspiracy theories abound. Moon landings, 9.11, the "birthers," freemen-on-the-land. It's a world chock-full of crazies and we have to live in it.

No, if I recall his theory from a few months ago, I believe traffic tickets can be used as currency...

If only that were true - can you imagine just driving around like a crazy man all day, then when the officer pulls you over:

"Hey officer - do you think you can maybe tack a reckless driving onto the 50 km/h over ticket? The kids really need some new shoes for school in September."

Actually, if you are really splitting hairs... his quote was "the Cambridge police acted stupidly" in arresting Gates. Which to me is somewhere between your two versions.

BTW, anyone else see the Jon Stewart bit on this last night. Even has a Glenn Beck aspect. Clip 1 of 4 for July 28th.

What a ridiculously naive statement.

then why have the Conservatives become a monarchy in Alberta?

politics can be summed up in a line from a song by The Who: "Meet the new boss/ same as the old boss"

...after 5+ years of poli-sci education, it comes to THAT!

I mis-calibrated my words != sorry.

FNC is the only channel that isnt kneeling down to give Captain Many Speeches a big sloppy wet BJ. Sure they have some out of touch commentators and shows but its better than the BJ fest at MSNBC or CNN.

The only time I saw Glenn Beck was when he was eating a huge bowl of chocolate pudding WHILE talking, you could see it in his mouth. And, he had a guest on, who would start explaining something very clearly and intelligently, then Beck would interrupt him to say "now to you viewers at home, what he REALLY means is... BLAH BLAH BLAH". It was nothing like what the guy really meant, but he kept doing it, while his mouth was oozing with chocolate pudding

He said that arresting Gates was stupid. And as it turns out, the preponderance of legal opinion is that he was right about that. However, there's a whole other thread about that.

This one is about how bat**** crazy Glenn Beck is. And... he really is. That is a man who needs some professional help.
Here is the Video of Obamas reaction
http://uk.reuters.com/news/video?vid...videoId=108496

Here is what the cop says (1 other white cop, 1 black cop, 1 hispanic cop all on scene at the time confirm story).
http://barackobamaeconomics.magnify....-disappoints-c

And just in case. Here is Gates himself indicating that even his flaming left wing friends thought Obama called the Cambridge Police Department stupid
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFhw_...layer_embedded

Here are "Captain Loves to give Speeches" actual quotes...

Obama - Cambridge Police acted Stupidly
Obama - Long history of african amercians and hispanics being stopped by law enforcement dispraporionately

4 polcie officers, 2 white, 1 black, 1 hispanic give the same accounting of the story. I know the blue curtain is long, but Obama wasnt misquoted, he said those things. Its also not a valid excuse that he didnt have all the facts. If you dont have the facts you dont speak out publically.

So Cambridge police arrest a black man. Obama says they acted stupidly doing so. He then says that police have history of targetting blacks more than whites (I guess in Iowa that isnt considered racist, in Calgary that is, well at least I think it is). Where I come from 1 + 1 = 2.

Had he not said anything this would be a non issue but he is addicted to the sound of his own voice and so he decided to weigh in on something he had no idea about. He also is addicted to this idea that he is somehow the spokesman for the entire black race - "Black Jesus" so to speak (because we all know how terrible it must have been to grow up in hawaii and to live with your grandparents).

Also, I love how he subtly sucked up to the latino vote. Gots to love politicians.

I wonder what cops would do to me if I refused to give identification and called them a racist. White on white racism - its spreading like Kelowna wildfire
