Haha, I just came back from a golf trip in BC. I would have died golfing in 30+ weather.

Yep, me to....It was only 20's in Fairmont....still not bad though....We were in Vegas a few weeks back and it was 110 which was too hot for me! You can't even go for a run when it is that hot! Just sit at the pool and try not to cook...

I played on Tuesday here in Osoyoos and it was like 37 that day. But there was a wind so the heat was okay. The long waiting on Mens night bothered me more than the heat did. Honestly I'd rather play on a really hot day than on a windy day. Just that when it's hot, I need a cart, whereas 30 or less I'd walk.

Seems like Osoyoos is an ice berg compared to the rest of the province as we've only had 1 day at 40 and the rest at 35 or so. I think our Lake is up to 25 degrees here, as it's quite pleasant to go kayaking in the evening. I still see people swimming in the Lake after dark too. No doubt my electricity bill is going to be pretty high the next time I get it with how much the AC has been running.

I was on the coast last week (Seattle, Vancouver, Sunshine Coast) and I was whining about it hovering around 30. I can't imagine it now.

I actually preferred the dry 36 in Kelowna on the way through to the humid 30 in Seattle (although not as humid as Central/Eastern Canada gets by any stretch).

40 though? Sick.

Been doing it everyday out here in Victoria. I usually regret it around the 14th hole but I love golf so I suck it up.

It is stupid out there right now though!

Heading to Invermere this weekend, forecast looks like a bit of rain and mid 20s. Should be bearable...minus the rain of course.

It is 36C/98F outside of my place in Mission right now and a "cool" 30C/86F in my house. The Fraser Valley is warmer than Kelowna or Kamloops right now, that is insane. I'm not going to complain though because at least half of the year is cold, raining, grey, etc. That said, it is has been neat seeing the thunderstorms in the mountains (last night was pretty sweet), and walking around at 1am when it is 24C/76F is awesome too. I'm just glad the humidity is down slightly (ie. Tuesday it was 98F/36C and 68% at my place, today same temperature with the humidity hovering around 50%). It could be worse, we could be in the Death Valley where it is 119F/48C.

I'm camping in 70 Mile House this weekend... very glad I'm on a lake and will have lots of cold brew.

We put our bedsheets in the shower last night before falling asleep, it was amazing.

Another one I heard was people putting their bedsheets and pillows in the freezer.

This really started in that first week of June, and since then there's only been a couple days of cool, spotty rain. Otherwise it's been sunny and 25 - 30C. More recently though it's more like 30 to 35C right here in Vancouver (right by the water even).

Just wondering how other BC cpers are handling this scorching heat. I never thought I'd feel this way, but I'm really starting to not enjoy this weather. It's nice to get these +30C days every now and again as a treat, but for weeks on end... yikes!
I'm in Kelowna, lived here since I was six, it's called Air Conditioning!!! Or the beach! generally just having a cold drink with you too, and don't be out if you can possibly help it. It got to like 39 or 40 sometime last week...can't remember when, but it was HOT!

How humid is Kelowna though? I've had 30+ degree weather in Calgary and it was fine. This 30+ in Vancouver with high humidity has been vicious.

Also does the temperature go down at night? Thats my biggest problem at the moment, I can't get cold at any point cause its 25+ degrees all night.

The Calgary summer is perfect for me. Decently hot in during the day and mildly cool at night.

The winter on the other hand...

Whistler/Blackcomb mountains on fire Everyone evacuated off the mountains this afternoon. Not contained at all, heavy winds and lightning expected there as well as many other areas of tinder dry southern BC. Gonna be a hazy August.

Ya the Vancouver summer's usually are not that bad, 2 out of the last 3 years have gotten really hot but the average temperature here in July/August is something like 18-19

and it cools down to like 12-14 at night. This one has just been ridiculous, hopefully its over for the most part though
