So pumped for this movie. And I think Daft Punk was the perfect choice to work on the music.

One thing will definitely not suck in this movie, the soundtrack.

Ya, I'm not sure what I'm more excited for - the movie or the soundtrack.

It's been way too long since Daft Punk came out with something new.....I don't really count Alive as new by the way.

Oh ya, for those interested - pretty much the entire albumn can be heard on uTube right now.

For those interested (and those that actually pay for music these days), the Tron soundtrack is now available on iTunes.

Thoughts from people??

I saw it last night. I wasn't blown away by any stretch. In fact, I was kinda bored midway thru and was checking my watch to see when it would end. The visuals were amazing and the light bike scene was pretty badass, but the story just put me to sleep. I don't need much in terms of a story to keep me interested in movies like these. But this one had me pretty bored.

The 3D did nothing for me. It's not just this movie, it's every movie outside of Avatar. The 3D just looks really cheesy and just feels really fake. I wish 3D would just go away and not come back.

6/10.....maybe im finally growing out of these kinds of movies.

To be fair the first one wasn't that great either, I only watch it about a year ago but I didn't really enjoy it at all. 5/10 maybe. I'll see the sequal eventually.

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be all over Transformers 3.

That may be my exception. But this year, all the comic book/sequels/reboots were all crap IMO. I pretty much hated Robin Hood, A Team, Expendables, Predators, Iron Mad 2(not as much) and Tron. Those used to be right up my alley, but I just didn't get into them. When Inception was released, in my review, I said that movie opened my eyes to the amount of crap that I had been accepting as "cool" movies. So maybe I am growing up.

I was really excited for this, it looked badass, but from what I heard everything badass happens in the first 45 minutes, then it's just an hour of nothing.

This year sucked for movies, the only ones I enjoyed were The Town, Inception and The Expendables (although I liked Rambo 4 way more).

Well most of the oscar type movies are just being or being released into a bigger audiance so it's silly to say something like that right now.

You've also left out some really good movies.

Sorry but "(insert year here) for movies sucked" is a phrase uttered here every year it seems by someone, and it always comes across as silly.

I don't think I've ever so vehemently disagreed the the reviews on a film.

I thought it was exceptional... the story, the characters, the visual effects, the soundtrack... there wasn't one second where I wasn't completely engrossed in it's world and wanting to learn more about it, eagerly anticipating what would happen next. It had exciting action sequences, it had character development, and it had depth and heart, something missing from blockbuster movies these days. I had only seen two trailers and hadn't read a single review before seeing it, and haven't seen the original at all. Just thought it was fantastic, don't let the reviews sway you to not seeing it.
