I've started (the last couple years) to harvest seeds from my own produce/plants/flowers. If something grows well, I will make sure to harvest seed from that plant. Ofcourse you can't do this with everything, but I've got a couple of flowers etc.. that are 3rd generation from the original.

Easy to do with tomatoes as well. Save the seeds from one tomatoe and you have more than enough for next years crop.

My lettuce has done well, peppers are doing OK, tomatoes ... eh, along with the strawberries.
Dill, Basil, and Oregano have done alright.

I tend to only buy from Garden Retreat. Everything else is hit or miss. I have to be reminded of this fact when I buy McKenzie seeds and I get a 30% germination rate.

Most of my seeds are bought from Dominion, a few from Stokes. I find that they have good selections for climates that have shorter growing seasons. So all of their vegetables are listed with maturity rates.
When I used to start my own tomatoes, I did buy a few seeds from Garden Retreat.

Lettuce has been growing like mad, can't keep up to it.
Carrots are coming along pretty well, about 2.5 inches of carrot right now.
Peas have flowered and I've eaten about a dozen of them so far, the snap peas are further along then the regular peas.
Radishes have come and gone.
Tomatoes, got a few flowers here and there, but stunted growth for sure.
Beans are looking promising, potatoes are as well, onions are a few weeks away and cucumber and zucchini did not make it this year.

William Dam Seeds has high quality seeds, but their selection is not as wide as other outlets.

I always have a few containerized tomatoes - tumblers, red robins, did a couple of early girls this year. I find these are always very successful. I've already had some red robins this year from some plants I started waaaay back in Feb. Pure ambrosia.

I briefly did a check on the site you have posted, and already, my two favorite varieties of corn are not listed, Trinity for a Peaches and Cream variety, and Custer for a super sweet yellow. Nor does the site give the growing days to maturity.
