Say what you want about him, but the man could sing and make music.
Who here can honestly say they don't like one of his songs? I am full blown metal head, going to Slayer on Saturday, and I still enjoy listening to Michael Jackson. He was a genius.
That being said, he definitely liked little boys.

Oh don't get me wrong. I'm not saying he isn't talented. He easily still is the King of Pop and his influence on music was next to none.
Unfortunately, I still believe more people will remember him for his non-musical headlines than his musical ones.

That would suck for him. Dying on the same day as two huge icons. He'd hate the fact that he'd get no attention.

From CNN:
http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/Musi...son/index.html
Quote:
(CNN) -- Entertainer Michael Jackson was taken to a hospital on Thursday, according to a Los Angeles Fire Department official.
Fire Capt. Steve Ruda told CNN a 911 call came in from a west Los Angeles residence at 12:21 p.m. and the patient was treated and transferred to the UCLA Medical Center.
Asked specifics of the patient's condition, the spokesman said he could not discuss them because of federal privacy laws.
|
So it's not "official" yet, but TMZ and X17online do have insiders and have been able to "call" things like this WAY before other agencies like CNN.
I don't have access to a TV right now...

From KTLA:
UCLA officials are not releasing any details about the pop star's condition.
So yeah, I would say less than reputable news sources could break his passing before CNN.

Not too shocked. His life kind of had tragedy written all over it. I'm surprised he made it this far. "Thriller" is one of my all-time favourite albums.
