I've been thru the greek islands, it is truly fabulous....but if you are budget dependant, think about Turkey.....Its not as developed as greece (tourism wise), which really makes it cheaper. Its kinda 'the other country' in the med....doesnt really get much respect as a tourist destination, I'm thinking because it is muslim.....but its not really muslim in ever sense of the word.....the only way you would tell is the mosques......The turkish people like to have fun, and they brew a great national beer called 'Effes'.
there are just a ton of roman ruins in and around the Med side of turkey....it was a favourite hangout Marc Antony and he built a lot of temples for Aphrodite etc etc....
You can rent a two bed/two bath apt in a complex with a pool, gym, wireless etc etc for about 200 GBP for a week (less than $400)....and food is cheap!!
In the area I went to, Side, there is just a ton to do, and you can always grab a ferry to cyprus for a couple days as it is fairly close by.......

My 5 year anniversary is in just over a month and I'd like to do something. But it's a terrible time to go away because July where we live is the time of year you want to be here, and it's also busy season for travelling. I'll have to see if the wife would take a Mediterrean holliday in September on trade.

Some of our stops were the french riviera (Eze, Nice, Monaco) all the major italian cities (rome, pompeii, naples, florence, venice) as well as a stop in Corfu Greece, and Dubrovnik Croatia. Anyway, the entire cruise was amazing, i highly recommend anything in the Med.

Having recently seen pictures of my parents cruise of the Med and Debrovnik it has defiantly found itself on my radar.

Haha I'd rather not know. Her sister came back with a boyfriend though. From the pics I've seen of the random guys in photos from that trip, if anything did happen, I just hope she got tested first. Eurotrash. Most of em look like the dude from the "My new haircut" video.
