The strangest thing I find about neo-nazis is that hey are promoting a facist government. These people, however, cannot even manage to follow Canada's laws which are relatively lax. So many of them end up jail. How do they expect to survive in a society where the state has total control.

If Canada ever did become a facist state, these fools would be the first ones thrown in jail.

Ok who killed DESS and replaced him with a PG version of the real one. This is something that a seasoned CP vet would say. Take it to PM? No personal attacts? Not trying to derail the thread?

Whoever this new DESS is, he is significantly more responsible than the last one.

What do you mean by pride? Is it like "I cheer for England in the World Cup because my grandparents are from Ipswich" or "I'm proud to be white and from England"?

This pride thing, it's kinda complicated, but I see it like this...

Black or Native Pride = We are equals and we are not going to be second class citizens anymore.

White Pride = We are superior and everyone else get out.

It doesn't mean every white person with "pride" in their heritage thinks they are superior, but someone who identifies themselves as having "White Pride" probably does.

DESS's spirit was crushed yesterday when about 25 CPers said they found me annoying and wished I wasn't here and then I started getting much-deserved infractions in an obvious attempt to try to drive me out. If you can't beat them join them I guess.

Boy if I were you I'd take that one back in a real hurry.

I think this is true but shouldn't be. Now if you mean that White Pride is generally associated with White Supremacy and therefore is a slippery slope and people should be careful when they say they are proud to be white then I totally agree within that context. No one wants to be mistaken for a white supremacist.

That being said without the pretext of racism associated with white pride I don't feel there is anything wrong with being proud to be white.

Your edit isn't good enough. You've been warned about whining about your infractions numerous times. And you've been given far more 2nd chances than most on this board.

Thus ends the Dess era of CP.

I used to work with one of these guys, which is weird cause I always thought they were unemployable. He was fine to work with, it was construction so most of what he said was actually par for the course, but occasionally it'd get a little extreme. We used to have a great time pushing his buttons though, we found out his 17 year old daughter was really into hip-hop, he didn't like to be reminded.

On the pride issue, I'm not sure I get the idea of having pride in your race. I get having pride in your heritage, that's normal, but race is such a broad thing I've never understood taking pride in it. I don't have a shared heritage with Swedes so I don't have any personal pride in Ikea, but I do have a shared heritage with the Irish so I take some personal pride in a pint of Guinness. That and I prefer booze to inexpensive things that I can't pronounce.

Anyways...........yeah it seems like everyone is ashamed of being white these days. There are even tanning studios to brown ourselves.........hehe.

It is all in your point of view. I could easily say the same thing about the other reserve near Lethbridge. Doesn't matter what group you are referring to, you'll find people from that group who has a chip on their shoulders and you'll also find people with differing opinions on which group has the bigger chips on their shoulders.

A lot of my straight friends think I'm overreacting when I say I can't be be publicly affectionate to the guy I'm dating (when I'm dating...) in this city. Most people are really open minded and let people live their life how they want, but then there are these folks.
Now, I've never been one for sucking face in public, as I sure don't like seeing straight couples make out in front of Banana Republic, etc, but it would be nice to hold hands walking down the street/through the park once in a while. Why do I mention it here? I've run into these clowns almost any time I've been affectionate in public, none of which has been a positive experience--unless you count the running.
Case in point, last summer a buddy and I had gotten blitzed at Julio's Barrio (sangria+Dos Equis+bad mexican) and wanted to head back to my place. While staggering we got a bit gropey and feely and silly. We turned the corner and there was a group sitting on the porch of one of those ghetto un-renovated Hilhurst houses. It was almost like a scene from Benny Hill, except with two drunk gay guys trying to sprint through the neighbourhood with three large skinheads and one neonazi chick chasing behind. Best news: those big ass boots they wear seriously hampered their ability to catch us, even in our state.
My point is that you never know when you'll see these types of people, and it kinda sucks when you can't live without having to look over your shoulder. There are more of them than you'd like to think around here.

I can see how that would present a problem. If I can ask though? Why'd they start chasing you? The just saw you and your date getting a bit frisky and went all crazy or what?

MRC, no matter how liberal people are (and im verrrry liberal) seeing PDA from gay people is going to cause some discomfort. I even kind of cringe when i see guys kissing on TV. I dont care if someone is gay, its your choice (or desire). But no matter how much i think i dont have a problem with it, years of having been told it was wrong causes it to make me feel uncomfortable.

Like watching your parents kiss.

Sorry if that offends you.

Edit: i should clarify that straight people pda'ing in front of me makes me as uncomfortable as well
