I'd imagine the reason investors (Captain and Liberty) aren't buying GM stock is because it's worthless. If you buy it, when they come out of Bankruptcy you get nothing! The governments are taking a post bankruptcy ownership stake in the company.

Common shareholders will most likely get wiped out I imagine.
