Seems like fair trades all around.
Drury Trade
UFA rights haven't moved around as much as I would have thought, but this is a good move for the Flyers who needed a #1 centre guy. Seems like about what the asking price should be for a UFA.
Roy Trade
This one's pretty even. Horton has underachieved so far in his career but is only 24 years old and still could break out. Getting a 2nd and Kaleta for Roy makes up the difference.
All in all, seems like good moves to me for all parties involved.

Bergeron finally makes his way to the Flyers
Going to Panthers is a solid package of Chris Drury's rights, Ryan Parent, Adam Burish and 2nd round in 2010.
We need to fill a hole at 2nd line center spot and he'll slide right in there.
Next up, Wait for some articles.

Flyers at it again.
Heatley coming to Philly.
To Anaheim:
10th overall
15th overall
David Legwand
To Philly:
Danny Heatley
2.7 mill in cap
We had to gear up for the season, we didn't to give up the defense so had to part away with couple picks. We kept out 6th and 12th overall selections, along with the 28th.
We built our D last year and now the O. Which now features Derek Roy, Danny Heatley, Phil Kessel, Mike Ribiero, Patrice Bergeron, David Perron as the group looking at playing as top 6 forwards.
The deal took about 2 seconds Thanks Ravi

The Bergeron trade is pretty even. The Panthers get a top line guy in Drury and a package of solid young pieces as well.
As for the Heatley trade, I like this move a bit more for the Flyers personally; Legwand is a solid centreman and he might regain his form but I just don't know if there's enough return. If the cap wasn't sent over then the trade would be closer in my mind....it's still pretty close but I like it a bit more for the Flyers.
And in the words of Da_Chief, "all my holes are basically filled"

I like this deal for the Flyers. the 10th and 15th pick are not guarenteed to make the NHL so this could possible turn into Heatley + cap for Legwand. Heatley is still very young.
Flyers top 6 looks VERY good.

Flyers Sign Brassard to an Entry Level Contract
Derrick Brassard sign an entry level deal with the Flyers, signing a three year deal at 1.35 Million per year.
"I'm hoping to make the team out of training camp and having a strong start to the season, and become the 1st line center by the seasons end." Said Brassard.
For now Brassard to slated to skate with Radulov and Simmonds on the 4th line.
"He will be given the opportunity to earn more minutes, but we'll start him off slow." Said GM Schum.
Brassard was hoping to play with TJ Oshie this year but GM Schum and his happy trigger fingers won't let that happen. More on that on following days.
Also the Flyers haven't decided if they'll bring back interim head coach Todd Mclellan just yet, GM Schum is said to be still evaluating the head coach.

I just don't think the players involved in the trade warrant a jump up into the Top 12 of this draft.

If the jackets dropped out of say the top 7 to 19 then I would be WTF, but drafting is such a crap shoot for the most part what odds if a team drops 7 spots, maybe they are eying someone who will still be available then.

In short - meh.

Just wanted everyone to see that Martin Jones is on Team Canada's summer camp for WJHC, one of four goalies; Hackett, Roy, Allen, and Jones. Not bad eh
