I've had great success with Vitamin B-Complex. And I used get the odd anxiety/panic attack, haven't since I started using it.

Well the reason I am anxious to go on any medications yet is because I'm not sure exactly what the problem is. I'm not ruling it out if it's determined I need it, but I don't want to start with it.

One thing that often is over looked is sleep. A few years ago I was a workoholic and didn't take sleep seriously. I was stressed out.
Now I get a minimum of 8 hours sleep most nights and feel great. Best thing I've ever done.

Also, most jobs give at least 2-3 weeks paid vacation for a reason. Use those vacation days to get away from town and relax somewhere at least once a year.

www.ramone.com the cd's really help me relax sorry not the right address..i'll look for it though...Ramone is a hypnotist but you can also get relaxation cd's i have never been able to relax in my life until i listened to his cd's, and I have a pretty bad anxiety disorder

Sleep (or lack thereof) is definitely a huge contributor to my stress level. If I don't sleep enough, I become more paranoid, moody and stressed. It may not have the same effect on everyone else but I know that it matters to me. I know its hard to sleep when you are stressed out which only further aggravates the problem. Try taking something like Valerian which is a natural sleep aid and see if you can have can establish a good sleeping pattern and hopefully that will help.
There has been a ton of good advice in this thread. Changing jobs is definitely a good option for you but it is a tough job market out there...why not throw out a couple of resumes and see if something comes up? Of course, you should have a job before you leave your current company. Last year was one of my most difficult years. My job was killing me...I couldn't sleep and didn't want to eat. Leaving my job made things much better for me but of course I needed to work on myself and the residual effects of that experience.
Do things you love. Surround yourself with people that you love...family members, friends. Do nice things for other people. It will make you feel so much better to bring a little bit of joy to the lives of others.
Hopefully, some of these things will help you out a bit!

That's not true. I went through a period of severe anxiety a year ago. I was given full access (by my parents) to a therapist. I went once a week. I only improved once I got on the meds.
That said, I improved massively once I had the sanity of mind (provided by the meds) to sort out my own problems.

How is it not true? You used your own mind to sort out your problems. I would call that a form of therapy.
I'm not saying meds are bad. I don't believe they need to be taken for life. They obviously helped you take the edge off your anxiety so you could deal with the underlying cause. Heck, i've used them in the past for similar circumstances.

The ultimate escapism.. and not "blow some legs off in Call of Duty and pretend it's your boss" type escapism, though that might help in certain situations. Just get lost in a world and a story that you really enjoy. Same goes for books if you aren't into games.

Really, it is very individual. Stuff like this (or anything personal) I don't believe there is an single fix that will work for everyone. Anyone who claims otherwise is naive or trying to sell you something.
But there are a lot of good idea that have worked for a number of people and you may need to try them all. But in the end it will come down to you and recognizing where your issues are stemming from, and that can be the hardest part.
Most people struggle at different times. You're not alone. Try some of the ideas mentioned that feel right for you.
One day, without even realizing when it happened, you will recognize the stress isn't there.

I was told by my doctor to experience more exercise and more social interaction to handle what I've been going through. I told him that lately the only social interaction I've really gotten has been online (ie-Calgarypuck). Sadly, he said that online interaction doesn't count.
