10 seems good. Is everyone happy with 10, or should we go for 12, or 15?

ten's fine. Short and sweet drafts seem to work the best.

Before we start, what constitutes a seperate model? In particular, do different generations count as different cars? Coupe/convertible = same car? etc.

So we're good with the amount of people, now we need to confirm the categories?

Instead of having it <50 000 USD... maybe you could have something like between 30 000 and 50 000 USD and the between 50 001 to 100 000 USD

personally i am not a huge fan of the price categories as i think they are all covered off with the other ones anyways and some of the cars that could be picked are not availble or priced in USD

May I get in? I will do a better job than the TV draft.
May I suggest a formula in actually how to have a competition at the end of the draft...
Something like (Total hp * AVG 0-60 times) - Total MSRP
The bigger the number the better.

only problem with that is determining the MSRP of some of the cars. Pre-war cars as an example. how do you determine the pricing? same with hp and 0-60 times etc.. easy for modern cars but much harder for the old stuff.. race car etc

I haven't been involved in one of these drafts before, other then looking at the pictures in one of them, so I wasn't sure how winners are determined. I was curious how this would be done. Perhaps it is just for fun.
There seems to be an awful lot of categories. I would vote for axing the price ones for sure as they don't seem necessary to me. I'm also not big on the concept car one; I would prefer to stick to real cars.

I think no price too if anything, but if people are insistent on price, I would rather have a between $XXXXX and $XXXXX instead of under $XXXXX

Fictional cars would work better since well real cars that has been in movies will be under the other categories anyways.
But anyways those categories seems good to me
