LOL she is in New York today apparently for some makeover show. Then I saw her performance on at least two American stations. Plus the viewers online is some astronomical number. Methinks she needs to be very selective of who gets that first kiss as the weirdo's/slimeballs will be circling.
Internet sensation Susan Boyle will probably get a record contract after wowing the world -- and Simon Cowell -- with her singing on "Britain's Got Talent" this week, but what she could really use is a brassiere.
Susan's natural talent is sure to bolster the music industry's sagging sales.
What a great little story they've got going there. I'm really happy for her break and I hope she rides it as long as she can. Great voice for an amateur.
the reason i like these shows so much more than the idol variants is because even though the singers usually win, you get to see so much more original acts like these guys
with american idol, you know what you're going to see from person to person. what makes the first few episodes of these talent shows so interesting is that you never know who or what will take the stage next
This is a recording from 99' when Susan Boyle did a CD for a local charity
The song is cry me a river.
Honestly, it is the best rendition I've ever heard.
Well the song was originally written for Ella Fitzgerald, but for me, the true emotion of that song comes through when Babs sings it. She really makes you feel the agony of being left behind in a break up.
Yeah, Babs is a pro, but when you compare the two, although Susan's voice is pleasant and easy to listen to, Babs by far has the better voice. Total control of the phrasing and her pipes. Susan's version is "too nice" for that song, not enough pain.
